Contextual Studies - Inside/Outside
From my own point of view I feel that 'Inside' and 'Outside' are two boundaries that are only made boundaries by the words that they are, the simple differences between them and the meaning of them before we expanded our knowledge onto this topic. Inside and outside can be different to each person so for instance, what someone see's as the outside could be seen as the inside for someone else which leads me to say that it is all down to our own creative view. The images that I have chosen both fit into the categories of inside AND outside which is why I chose them. They do not have just one specific boundary and that can be identified the more we analyse the images. I found that with the second image it all goes together incredibly well with the use of colour but also the idea behind it too. I'm not sure what this picture was for whether it was to advertise fashion or just the compost range from B&Q but the use of that compost and the flowers on the models suit almost

the clothes and lack of clothes the models are wearing could also come in to the topic of inside and outside

Portrait The bag of compost is an outside thing but the
model is using it as a pillow which allows that object to cross over into the inside to become an inside object
The colours all fit together except for the compost making it the object that first grabs your attention
The flowers on her outfit and the angle the model is laying in can make you imagine that she/the flowers have grown in this picture from the bag of compost.
suggests that she has grown from it in a very odd sense. Both pictures I chose were interesting to me for the same reason and that reason is that they broke the boundaries of Inside and Outside.
