Los paradores de España

El verano que viene Sandra, Roberto y sus padres harán un viaje a España. Saldrán el28 de junio. Al llegar a España alquilarán un coche. Viajarán por todas partes delpaís. Pasarán una semana en el norte y otra en Madrid y sus alrededores. Pasarán laúltima semana en el sur, en Andalucía.

La señora White, la madre de Sandra y Roberto, está planeando el viaje. Dice quepodrán pasar varias noches en algunos paradores.

Hay unos setenta paradores en España. Algunos son muy pequeños como el Paradorde Villalba en Lugo, Galicia. Tiene sólo seis habitaciones. Otros son bastante grandes.El Parador de Cádiz tiene 147 habitaciones. Pero lo importante no es el tamaño. Lomás atractivo de los paradores es que son únicos. No son todos iguales. Cada unotiene su carácter propio.

Algunos paradores son antiguos castillos o monasterios. La madre de Sandra yRoberto dice que hará una reservación en el Parador San Francisco en Granada.Antes era un convento fundado por los Reyes Católicos, y los jardines de la famosaAlhambra. Pero el Parador San Francisco es tan popular que los White tendrán quereservar una habitación con unos seis meses de anticipación.

Los paradores nacionales son del gobierno español. Los restaurantes de muchosparadores son muy buenos. Sirven platos típicos de las regiones donde seencuentran. Muchos turistas dicen que pasar una noche en un parador es comopasar una noche en un museo—pero un museo con todas las comodidades de unhotel de cuatro estrellas.
