Quilts by Lisa Watson is now launchedLisa makes quilts. Quilts make you feel cosy, conjuring up fond memories, particularly if you have a quilt that has been lovingly stitched for you. Quilts tell stories and their designs offer endless combinations of texture and colour. Lisa loves quilts.

This is Lisa’s first collection of quilts and she has created four gorgeous Harris Tweed and sumptuous velvet quilts, all trimmed with distinctly British fabrics from traditional Colefax and Fowler, 50’s retro Angie Lewin, contemporary Tinsmiths and rising star Annabel Perrin's Hemlock. Lisa’s quilts are a high quality heritage product for people to covet.

Lisa’s quilts are made in Britain with all the components sourced from British manufacturers. Why a passion for British Made? Now is the time to celebrate and invest in the quality, heritage and expertise of British manufacturing and goods. There is a real buzz, quite rightly around British Made goods. Lisa lives in Manchester and the North West has an amazing textile heritage. Greater Manchester particularly is currently experiencing a real bubble of business opportunity and Lisa is so enthused to be part of a renaissance in British textile manufacturing. Lisa’s quilts are stitched at Frank Fult’s workshop in N.Manchester, with Lisa hand finishing the quilts.

Of course there are lots of lovely quilts out there, to buy at a range of prices. Lisa’s quilts at £345 each (£15 GB P&P International P&P, add £55) are big enough to cover a king sized bed comfortably at 190 by 145cm. This price reflects the time and care taken to make each quilt, along with the quality materials stitched into each quilt.

A quilt will warm your body and comfort your soul.

Visit www.quiltsbylisawatson.co.uk (click on Lisa’s blog for press info) to see her heritage quilts. PS A donation of £10 for every quilt sold will be given to your choice of several charities. The first three quilt charities are the Birdhouse Fund; http://birdhousefund.org/ Help for Heroes; http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ & JDRF; http://www.jdrf.org.uk/ (my son and nephew have Type 1 diabetes).
