Phoenix Ranch Technology Lab Kindergarten and 1 st grade students concentrate on acquiring beginning technology skills with a strong focus on developing mouse, typing, and word processing skills. Students will also explore their creativity with the art programs, discover introductory programming concepts, and explore Lego Simple Machines. 2 nd graders will utilize their foundation in typing and word processing to expand into more diverse skillsets including spreadsheets, slide shows, internet research, coding / programming logic using Scratch and Kodable platforms, and continue with Lego WeDo Robotics. 3 rd graders will combine multiple skillsets to complete projects that challenge students to research facts, collect images, name, store, manage file sets, and create multimedia presentations. Students will work with a variety of computer applications for spreadsheets, slideshows, and word processing and will also use various apps to enhance classroom curriculum. 3rd graders will also explore coding and visual programming concepts. 4 th graders will be involved in social studies slide show presentations, a variety of research assignments, as well as coding and programming games. Students will also develop skills in graphic and photo editing, word processing, typing, and Lego Engineering. 5 th graders will be involved in science and social studies slide show presentations, a variety of research assignments, as well as coding and programming concepts. Students will also develop skills in graphic and photo editing, website creation, video editing, word processing, typing, introduction to 3D design, basic robotics concepts and emerging technologies.

Phoenix Ranch Technology Lab

Kindergarten and 1st grade students concentrate on acquiring beginning technology skills with a strong focus on developing mouse, typing, and word processing skills. Students will also explore their creativity with the art programs, discover introductory programming concepts, and explore Lego Simple Machines.
