BOOKABLE ACCESS FACILITIES

Gilded Balloon provide free tickets for any personal assistants/support workers. If you require a personal assistant ticket, please call our Box Office Hotline (0)131 622 6554.

ASSISTANCE DOGS

Gilded Balloon welcomes Assistance Dogs. We ask that you make yourself known to Front of House staff upon arrival for a show.

SHOW INFORMATION

Some of our shows include the use of strobe lighting, this is listed on the individual show page on the Gilded Balloon website.

ARRIVAL GUIDE

PARKING The closest Blue Badge Access parking is along Howden Street, approximately 400m from the entrance to Teviot. Please note that all parking spaces around George Square are closed off to the public at this time of year. Parking spaces highlighted in Sky Blue are for Blue Badge holders, parking spaces highlighted in Dark Blue are pay and display parking areas.

Taxis and cars are able to drop off disabled access patrons at the junction of Crighton Street and Chapel Street. Please advise the Security Guard of your needs upon arrival. From this point there will be level access up to Teviot along Charles St.

There is not currently level access via the main doors due to nearby construction works, however there is an accessible lift via the Garden entrance. Lifts are available to most floors and there is a variety of seating throughout the venue. All venues are accessible by level access apart from the Billiard Room and Balcony which are accessible by approximately 16 steps up.

Our friendly Front of House staff will be positioned inside the main doors at all times wearing bright pink tee shirts to provide further assistance.

BOX OFFICE

The Charles Street Box Office (outside Teviot) can be accessed from street level – please be aware that this box office does not have lowered access windows but staff are trained to assist all customers.

The Main Box office is located inside Teviot Row House at Level one, inside the Main entrance and has a lower access desk. There is an accessible lift via the Garden entrance.

CAFÉ FACILITIES

The New Amphion is located on the second floor via the lift and has a lowered access counter for ordering meals, snacks and drinks.

There is level access to the Rose Theatre via the side entrance on Rose Street Lane and an accessible toilet in the main foyer, however as the venue is currently under restoration all of the venue spaces are only accessed by between 15-40 steps. Please note that there are future plans in place to make building fully accessible.BASEMENT

DROP OFFSWe recommend being dropped off at the loading bay on the corner of South & West College Street. There is level access to the Auditorium via the South Entrance on the Lothian Street.Our friendly Front of House staff in bright pink tee shirts will be stationed inside the foyer of the Auditorium to provide you with any further assistance.

BOX OFFICE

The Museum Box Office is located inside the foyer of the Auditorium. This is a lowered access desk.
