My dear co-workers in Christ,

It is our joy to share with you the work of the Lord through His ministry among Filipino migrant workers in Taiwan. Intro:

We leave behind the preceding year with all aspiration

and inspiration from the God whom all blessings flow.We welcome a brand new year, 2016 with all excitement and joy on how God would put all things in placed for the ministry He entrusted to us.

John 15: 4 says “Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.”

This reminds us to stay tune and abide in Christ no matter what. It is a strong promise of God’s presence which we ought to hold in order for His ministry here in Taiwan among Filipino migrant workers would bear more fruit for the glory and honor of Jesus Christ who called us to serve.

Ministry 2ndFounding AnniversaryNovember 1st

last year was the celebration of the 2nd founding anniversary of TAHANAN(TCMC). We thank the Lord because everyone is helping out for the

success of the event which has been well attended. The celebration is filled with mixed emotions since it’s also the “All Soul’s Day”.

For Filipinos, remembering our lost loved ones is very important during this day as candles are lit and prayers lifted.

Christmas Cantata

We reach out Migrant workers according to their needs. One way of fulfilling this, the Praise Team of TAHANAN (TCMC) has initiated and conceptualized a Christmas Cantata based on the common story of a Filipino migrant worker. This happens one evening of 9-night worship.

It’s a memorable evening for everyone who witnessed and joined. Everybody is carried away by their emotions because it’s their story which we foretell through recitations and songs. Everyone goes home with a grateful and a blessed heart.

Christmas Celebration

Christmas is the longest and joyous season of the year especially for Filipino families. Our ministry makes sure that the Filipino workers would experience a Filipino way of celebrating the season. We conducted 9-night worship as part of Advent. Christmas celebration includes gift giving and fellowship are full of fun despite these migrant workers miss celebrating the occasion with their loved ones.

Furthermore, caroling is counted in. We truly miss this kind of activity. Seems Christmas is not complete without hearing carols in the air.

We also do dorm to dorm caroling which we sing Christmas carols and leave hand-made Christmas Star décor.

Caroling for Children

Caroling on Christmas season is one of the most memorable events during our childhood. When I was a child, I thought caroling was just about receiving coins after we sang Christmas carols. However, it’s more than that. Caroling is greeting someone by way of singing Christmas songs loudly and joyfully. Our family grabs the invitation from Shulin School (our kids’ school) for us to render some Christmas songs before the children. The kids sang by the beat and even learned to say Christmas greetings in Filipino. Praise Jesus!

Bible Study by the Seaside

Filipino migrant workers also suffer from boredom because of routine schedules. They need relaxation and fun as well. Bringing them to the seashore makes them feel relaxed by breathing fresh air and feel the beauty of nature.

We spend time to share personal reflection thru the word of God. Photo shoots complete our time together.

We are very thankful to God for the spirit of life and hope of our church members. They have sought our ministry for their needs. I and my wife are humbled to be witnesses to the community of faith helping each

other despite financial & emotional struggles. We are intensely praying for the many lives and have seen the impact of God's miracles answering prayers.
