This upcoming year, I have been accepted to participate in an internship with Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship of Canada (IVCF). My placement is for eight-months at the University of Toronto (main location) and Ontario College of Arts and Design (OCAD) University.

Why did I decide to Intern? In 2012, I graduated from Western University with an Honors Specialization in Kinesiology. I also attended Korean Christian Fellowship (KCF) (integrated part of Inter-Varsity) for four years, which is where I first experienced Scripture in a profound way. I was deeply touched by the story of the fisherman, Simon Peter.

Just like Simon Peter, I believe God has called me into this internship to experience what it means to be a “fisherman” on campus. He has transformed my life as I led KCF students and witnessed the joy of students following Jesus. This internship is the next step of the journey to leadership development, personal growth, and most importantly, bringing others into being fully committed followers of Jesus.

Who is Inter-Varsity?“By students for students” has always been the theme of the ministry of IVCF. Being shaped by God’s Word and led by the Holy Spirit, IVCF’s purpose is the transformation of youth, students, and graduates, in all their ethnic diversity, into fully committed followers of Jesus Christ. Worldwide, their vision is to see campuses renewed and world changers developed.

How can you help? Through the help of my friends and family via financial support and prayer, I need to raise $12,000 to cover the expenses of the internship (accommodation, training, food). By September 1st 2012, I need to raise $9,000. Would you please consider supporting me financially, as well as in prayer?
