You’ve caught up on today’s current events. Now what?

It’s a nice spring day, you wake up and retrieve your daily newspaper from

the driveway and then spend all morning catching up on the world’s current

events. So what happens at the end of the day with all that newsprint? One can

always recycle your newspaper; after all going green is trendy right now. Here

are some other ways to get the most out of your morning newspaper or your old

magazines.

1) Scrapbooking

There are a variety of ways to use newspapers or magazines for

scrapbooking. You can always clip favorite articles or pictures for

an inspiration book. Just think of it as the old school Pinterest. If

you want to give a page some extra flair, reuse letters in headlines

for your own text.

2) Gift wrapping

Strapped for cash and need to wrap a birthday gift for a friend? The

comic’s page can provide a really cool wrapping paper for no cost.

crumpled newspaper provides great wrapping for fragile items and

filling up space in boxes. The same effect can also use it for

storage purposes, like helping your boots stand upright in your

closet.

streaks left behind. There might be some ink transfer left behind on

your hands or here and there on a painted surface but it will come

right out with water.

to your plants. First off if you happen to have a compost pile,

great lining in flowerbeds to prevent weeds. Just be sure to cover it

break down on its own.
