Vicky Amidon Innovation Grant in Lung Cancer Research Application 2019 I. Mission and Purpose The mission of the Lung Cancer Initiative of North Carolina (LCI) is to save lives and provide support to those affected by lung cancer through research, awareness, education and access programs across North Carolina. Innovation Award Purpose: Through the Vicky Amidon Innovation Grant in Lung Cancer Research, the Lung Cancer Initiative aims to recognize and provide research funding for innovative lung cancer projects that will improve the lives of those diagnosed with lung cancer in North Carolina. II. General Information The award is granted for one year. The stipend is up to $30,000 and 2 proposals will be funded. Any questions regarding the submission process should be emailed to Jenni Danai at [email protected] . Please include a current CV along with a letter of support from a program or department director or supervisor. III. Eligibility Criteria The Innovation in Lung Cancer Award is open to researchers of all levels. The project must be focused on one of the following in lung cancer: prevention, diagnosis, treatment or survivorship. Projects that are collaborative are strongly encouraged. IV. I. Mission and Purpose

The mission of the Lung Cancer Initiative of North Carolina (LCI) is to save lives and provide support to those affected by lung cancer through research, awareness, education and access programs across North Carolina.

Innovation Award Purpose: Through the Vicky Amidon Innovation Grant in Lung Cancer Research, the Lung Cancer Initiative aims to recognize and provide research funding for innovative lung cancer projects that will improve the lives of those diagnosed with lung cancer in North Carolina.

The award is granted for one year. The stipend is up to $30,000 and 2 proposals will be funded.
