DCP/Crime Sanjay Bhatia have apprehended a person involved in trafficking of drugs and have recovered 4 Kgs of Charas (Hashish). The recovered contraband is worth Rs. 4 Lakhs (Approximately) in the international market.

Information was received on 20/04/2012 by SI Paramjeet Singh that a person involved in trafficking of drugs would be coming near Nangloi, New Delhi to supply drugs to a contact. On this information a trap was laid and a person was apprehended. He was identified as Pawan Kumar (aged 30 years) s/o Munna Lal r/o Nangloi, Delhi. 4 Kgs of Charas wrapped in a silk cloth was recovered from his possession. A case under the appropriate sections of the law was registered.

Pawan Kumar was subjected to intensive interrogation. It was revealed that he has studied upto primary school. His elder brother Tony was a drug trafficker. He also got lured into drug trafficking. He procured charas from Himachal Prades and sold it in Delhi.

Further investigation is in progress.

TWO WOMEN INCLUDING A FOREIGN NATIONAL INVOLVED IN TRAFFICKING OF COCAINE ARRESTED.

APPROXIMATELY RS. 50 LAKHS.

A team of officers of the Crime Branch led by Insp. Kuldeep Singh and consisting of SI Paramjeet Singh, HC Sanjeev Kumar, HC Harender, W/Ct. Rekha, Ct. Manjeet Singh and Ct. Paramjeet Singh under the supervision of

ACP Bir Singh and overall supervision of Addl. DCP/Crime Sanjay Bhatia have apprehended two women including a foreign national involved in trafficking of drugs and have recovered 50 Gms of Cocaine. The Cocaine recovered is worth Rs. 50 Lakhs in the International Market.

Information was received on 23/04/2012 by SI Paramjeet Singh that a woman involved in trafficking of drugs in Delhi would be coming in a I-20 car at Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi to receive drugs from a Nigerian lady. On this information a trap was laid and two women were apprehended. They were identified as i) Sheetal (aged 21 years) s/o Rakesh Dahiya r/o Khirki Extension, Malaviya Nagar, New Delhi and ii) Giwa Kadeejat (aged 50 years) s/o Giwa r/o 21, Oluwole Street, Lagos, Nigeria, Africa. 50 Gms of Cocaine was recovered from their possession. A case under the appropriate sections of the law was registered.

Both the accused persons were subjected to intensive interrogation. It was revealed that Giwa Kadeejat is from Nigeria. She came to India two years ago on business visa. She sent consignment of textiles to Nigeria. As her business was not doing well then she went back to Nigeria. She came back to India in January, 2012 and started trafficking in cocaine. She procured cocaine from a fellow Nigerian National.

Sheetal is illiterate. She belongs to Chidawa District of Rajasthan. She came to Delhi with her mother when she was a child. In 2005 Sheetal got married. In 2006 she left her in-law’s house. Since then she became a part of the call girl racket and also provided cocaine to her clients.

Further investigation is in progress.

Interstate gang of Thieves busted. Four persons arrested. Firearms and ammunition including a revolver stolen from

Anand Vihar, Delhi recovered. Four cases of Theft of Delhi worked out. Gold and silver ornaments and cash Rs. 40,000/-

recovered.

A team of officers of Crime Branch led by Inspr. Arti Sharma and consisting of ASI Suresh Kumar, Amit Tomar, HC Rajinder Kumar, HC Bahadur Sharma, Ct. Narender, Ct. Dabbu, Ct.Devender, Ct.Gyaneshwar and Ct. Kamal Meena has busted an interstate gang of thieves active in Delhi. Four persons from Bijnore, UP, have been arrested. Firearms and ammunition including a revolver stolen from

the area of PS Anand Vihar, Delhi have been recovered. Four cases of theft have been worked out. Gold and silver ornaments and cash Rs. 40,000/- have been recovered.

Information was received on 19/04/2012 by HC. Amit Tomar that the members of an Interstate Gang of thieves active in Delhi would be coming to the area of Jahangirpuri, Delhi in a Tata Safari Jeep. On this information a trap was laid and a Tata Safari Jeep was intercepted. Two persons were apprehended. They were identified as i) Furkhan Ansari (aged 35 years) s/o Abdul Gaffar r/o Vill. Garhi, Mohalla Sarai, P.S. Natore, Disstt. Bijnore, U.P., ii) Abrar Ahmed (aged 32 years) s/o Shakeel Ahmed r/o Vill. Garhi, Mohalla Sarai, P.S. Natore, Distt. Bijnore, U.P. One .32 bore Revolver with two live cartridges and one .315 bore country made pistol with two live cartridges were recovered from their possession. The revolver was found stolen from the area of PS Anand Vihar, Delhi. Subsequently, their associates i) Gulfam (aged 23 years) s/o Zulfikar r/o Vill. Garhi, Mohalla Sarai, P.S. Natore, Disstt. Bijnore, U.P. and ii) Abdul Subhan (aged 44 years) s/o Abdul Haq r/o Vill. Garhi, Mohalla Sarai, P.S. Natore, Disstt. Bijnore, U.P. were apprehended from the area of Chattarpur, Delhi. The TATA Safari jeep was seized. A case under the appropriate sections of the law was registered. The apprehension of the accused persons has led to working out three cases of theft of Delhi. Gold and silver ornaments and cash Rs. 40,000/- were recovered.

All the accused persons were subjected to intensive interrogation. It was revealed that Furkhan Ansari is king pin of the gang and has studied up to 8th standard. He recruited Abrar Ahmed, Gulfam and Abdul Subhan in his gang.

They committed thefts in the area of Anand Vihar, Railway Stations and in Karol Bagh.

Further investigation is in progress.

NOTORIOUS AND DESPERATE GANGSTER PRADEEP @ SONU ARRESTED BY CRIME BRANCH.

FOUR CASES OF CAR JACKING AND ROBBERY WORKED OUT.

A team of officers of Crime Branch led by Inspector D.P. Joshi and consisting of SI Omvir Dabas, ASI Hariom , ASI Surender Kumar, HC Ravinder, HC Birender, Ct. Sanjay Kumar, Ct. Harender, Ct. Ranbir, Ct. Deepak and Ct. Naresh, Ct. Ravinder and Ct Himanshu under the supervision of ACP M.C.Katoch and overall supervision of Addl. DCP/Crime Dr. Joy Tirkey have arrested a desperate gangster.

Information was received on 21.04.2012 by Ct. Deepak that a desperate criminal of Pradeep @ Sonu, who has been declared proclaimed offender in number of criminal cases and also wanted in number of robbery cases of various police stations of Delhi would come at Kanjhawala Chowk to meet his associate. On this information a trap was laid and a person was apprehended. He was identified as Pradeep @ Sonu (aged 23 years) s/o Khushi Ram r/o Village- Chhara Thamba Ki Chopal PS Bahadurgarh Haryana. The apprehension of the accused person has led to working out four cases of theft and robbery of police stations Narela and Bawana, Delhi.

Pradeep @ Sonu was subjected to intensive interrogation. It was revealed that he is a member of Sanjay Rathee - Pawan Pandit gang. He is wanted in number of cases of robbery of various police stations of Delhi. He was declared proclaimed offender in a case of attempt to Murder and Arms Act of PS Bawana Delhi and a case of robbery of PS Shahbad Dairy Delhi. He is also involved in several sensational cases including, highway robberies, car-jacking, with criminal intimidation and theft of different police stations of Delhi. He is previously involved in 6 cases of Arms Act, Attempt to murder, theft and robbery of Bawana, Samaipur Badli, Narela and Shahbad Dairy, Delhi. He is wanted in 4 cases of Theft and Robbery of police stations Narela and Bawana, Delhi. The details of cases are as under:-

1. In the month of August 2011, he along with his associates Priyavrat @ Kale, Govind, Rajesh @ Raje all residents of Village Katewra, Delhi and Sanjay Rathee of Village Auchandi, Delhi robbed a Wagon-R from Sec-3 DSIDC Narela Delhi.

2. In the month of December 2011, he along with his associates Priyavrat @ Kale, Govind, Rajesh @ Raje, Pawan Pandit, Sonu Sunar robbed a Scorpio Car from Vardhman Mall Sector-6 Narela Delhi.

3. Also in the month of December, 2011, he along with Pawan Pandit, Sanjay Rathee and Rajesh @ Raje intercepted a Micro Nissan Car near DSIDC Narela and at gun point, they robbed Rs. 47500/-, a gold chain, two rings and two mobile phones from the occupants of the car. After that they decamped with the car.

4. In the month of January 2012, he along with Rajesh @ Raje, Sanjay Rathee, Priyavrat @ Kale and Pawan Pandit robbed a swift car, a chain and a ring from the area of Narela Delhi.

The concerned Police Stations have been informed about his arrest.

Dated : 25.04.12 MURDER MYSTERY OF CAPTAIN ANURAG RAJ SOLVED AND

SERVANT ARRESTED VICTIM WAS MISSING SINCE 2007 FROM THE POSH AREA OF

SATYA NIKETAN, SOUTH DELHI. TATA SAFARI CAR, DVD PLAYER, HDFC CREDIT CARD, ETC. OF

DECEASED RECOVERED

With the arrest of accused Bhullai Ram (servant of deceased Capt. Anurag Raj), staff of DIU, South District solved the murder mystery of Capt. Anurag Raj who had gone missing from his house at Satya Niketan, New Delhi in the year 2007. Stolen Tata Safari Car, suitcase, DVD Player (make Samsung), HDFC & Welcome Group Cards, blood stained pillow, broken double barrel gun, etc. recovered at the instance of accused person.

BRIEF FACTS :

On 02/11/10, complainant Smt. Pratika Raj Malhotra w/o Rohit Malhotra R/O A-382A Ansal Palam Vihar Gurgaon Haryana, lodged a missing report of his brother Capt. Anurag Raj S/O Brig. Prithvi Raj r/o 47-E (IInd Floor), Satya Niketan, New Delhi at PS Dhaula Kuan vide DD No. 45-B and informed that her brother Capt. Anurag Raj is missing since 2007. All possible efforts were made to trace the missing Capt. Anurag Raj but of no avail. Complainant herself searched the flat of Capt. Anurag Raj and recovered one letter dated 26/03/07, a hand written WILL of Capt. Anurag Raj and other incriminating documents. She produced the same to the local police for verification which were sent to the FSL Rohini for expert’s opinion. As per the opinion of FSL Rohini, letter dated 26/03/07 and WILL were written by Capt. Anurag Raj. In the letter Capt. Anurag Raj had apprehension of threat to life from his servant Bhullai Ram. Bhullai Ram was called at PS Dhaula Kuan and interrogated in length but nothing fruitful came in light.

Later on, complainant Smt. Pratika Raj Malhotra filed a Habeas Corpus Writ Petition before the Hon’ble Delhi High Court, New Delhi. On 27/10/11, on the complaint of Smt Pratika Raj Malhotra, a case vide FIR No. 172/ 11 U/S 365 IPC PS South Campus was registered and investigation was carried out. On 20/12/11, Hon’ble Delhi High Court passed an order to transfer the investigation of the said case to DIU/SD on the request of Govt. Counsel.

INVESTIGATION :

On receiving the case file of the case, investigation of said case was marked to Insp. Virender Singh. During the course of investigation, Inspector Virender Singh and his team under the close supervision of ACP/DIU/SD Sh. Bharat Singh inspected the house of missing person Capt. Anurag Raj and recovered incriminating documents from the house of Capt. Anurag Raj. Thereafter, the team conducted local enquiry from the neighbours, local shopkeepers, hotels, gas cylinder supplier, electrician, watchmen, maid servant, etc. and BSES, MTNL office. Friends and relatives of Capt. Anurag Raj were also interrogated and it was concluded that Capt. Anurag Raj was last seen at his residence in the last week of March 2007 along with his servant Bhullai Ram. Thereafter, no one had seen either Capt. Anurag Raj or his servant Bhullai Ram at the residence of Capt. Anurag Raj and the same was remained locked.

On checking BSES report, it was learnt that on 26/03/07 Capt. Anurag Raj had filled his due electricity bill and on 29/03/07 he had also filed an application at BSES office for preparation of his final bill. Inspr. Virender Singh collected the bank statements of all accounts of Capt. Anurag Raj along with details of self en-cashed cheques from 2006. Last transaction was made by Capt. Anurag Raj through his credit card. On scrutiny of bank records, it was revealed that Capt. Anurag Raj had lastly used his credit card at Lucknow and cheques which were en-cashed as SELF after March 2007 were having different signatures. Out of 21 Self en-cashed cheques in question, 5 cheques were having the signatures of Bhullai Ram as a bearer and the said cheques bore the forged signature of Capt. Anurag Raj.

During the course of further investigation, it was revealed that suspected Bhullai Ram is a history sheeter of PS Shiv Ratan Ganj, District CSM Nagar, UP and was having involvements in five criminal cases. Therefore, Bhullai Ram was again summoned to join investigation at DIU/SD by IO/Inspr. Virender Singh and during thorough interrogation Bhullai Ram confessed to have committed the murder of Cap. Anurag Raj.

INTERROGATION :

On 24/03/12, accused Bhullai Ram, servant of Capt. Anurag Raj was arrested in the said case and during interrogation he disclosed that he was on the way to Delhi along with Capt. Anurag Raj in the Tata Safari Car of Capt. Anurag Raj. On way to Delhi, some altercation took place between them on some financial issue and Bhullai Ram had threatened him to kill but after some time Bhullai Ram apologized to Capt. Anurag Raj for his misbehavior. On reaching Delhi Capt. Anurag Raj asked Bhullai Ram to go back to his native village but somehow Bhullai Ram managed to stay with Anurag Raj. After 2-3 days, again Capt. Anurag Raj demanded his money back from Bhullai Ram which he had given for construction of his house at Rae Bareilly, UP. In the fit of anger, Capt. Anurag Raj also torn up the WILL

(Vasiyat Nama) which he had executed in the favour of Bhullai Ram and again asked him to leave his house. Then, Bhullai Ram attacked Capt. Anurag Raj on his head with a butt of double barrel gun belonging to Capt. Anurag Raj and then killed him by smothering his mouth with a pillow. After that, he put the dead body in a sack and further kept the same in an iron box. Thereafter, he took the dead body of Capt. Anurag Raj in his Safari Car No. DL4CF 9618 and buried it in his house at Rae Barreilly, UP. He also took the purse of deceased containing cash Rs. 25,000/-, one suitcase containing cloths, one CD Player (make Samsung) and cheque books belonging to the deceased Anurag Raj from his residence.

Police custody remand of accused was obtained for 12 days from the Ld. Court. A team headed by Inspr. Virender Singh and consisting of SI Anil Kumar Meena, SI Sandeep Sharma, HC Amit Pratap Singh, Ct Ajit and Ct Ravi Kant was formed who conducted investigation at District Rae Bareilly, Sultanpur, Barabanki and Lucknow for recovery of dead body and stolen items. One Safari car No. DL-4C 9618, one suitcase, HDFC credit card, Welcome Group card of Capt. Anurag Raj and one DVD player make Samsung were recovered at the instance of accused Bhullai Ram.

On search of the room of co-accused Sahaj Ram, two notebooks were recovered in which accused Sahaj Ram had practiced the forged signature of Anurag Raj. On further investigation, accused Bhullai Ram disclosed that his brother Sahaj Ram had forged the signature of Capt. Anurag Raj on all the cheques and he withdrew the money from the bank. VASIYAT NAMA (WILL) of Oct. 2005 executed by Capt. Anurag Raj in favour of accused Bhullai Ram has been obtained from the office of Sub Registrar Office of Teh. Maharaj Ganj, District Rae Bareilly. UP. During the course of investigation, CFSL Team led by Dr. A.K. Singla, CBI/ND was called to inspect the scene of crime i.e, Flat No. 47-E (IInd floor), Satya Niketan was opened almost after five years and it was found in a very bad condition and full of dust and excreta and remains of pigeons etc. On inspection, blood stained pillow, short, kurta and one broken double barrel gun were recovered from the spot.

On sustained interrogation accused Bhullai Ram deposed that after murdering Capt. Anurag Raj five year ago, he wrapped the dead body in a sack and kept the same in the big iron box and took same to his native place Village Niwajipur, PS Shiv Ratan Ganj, Rae Bareilly, UP and buried the same in his house. Last year, he removed the Skelton from his house and dumped into the Gomti River. Inspr. Virender Singh along with team members and CFSL experts went to District Rae Bareilly and on the pointing out of accused, 52 pieces of human bones, two teeth, hair and blood stained pieces of clothes and polythene bag were recovered from the room where accused Bhullai Ram had buried the dead body of Capt. Anurag Raj. Iron box in which accused took the dead body upto his native place was also recovered from

the residence of accused. Efforts were also made to trace the remains of Capt. Anurag Raj from Gomti river but in vain.

Co-accused Sahaj Ram is absconding, efforts are being made to arrest him. Complainant Smt. Pratika Raj Malhotra who is presently staying in Dubai and Sh. Raj, uncle of the deceased Capt. Anurag Raj are being summoned for DNA Test. Exhibits are being sent to CFSL for chemical analysis.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED :

Accused Bhullai Ram is a history sheeter of PS Shiv Ratan Ganj, District CSM Nagar, UP and is having involvements in five criminal cases. He is a school dropout. In 1996, he came to Delhi to his maternal uncle who was working in Rajender Nagar, Delhi. Bhullai Ram worked in a grocery shop in Rajender Nagar area where he came in contact with Capt. Anurag Raj, who employed him as his full time domestic help. After sometime, when Capt. Anurag Raj shifted from Rajender Nagar to Satya Niketan, accused Bhullai Ram also accompanied him and started staying with him. Detail of cases in which he was involved are as under:

1. FIR No. 78/98 dated 16/12/98 u/s 323/506/498A IPC and 3/4 Dowry Prohibition Act PS Shiv Ratan Ganj, CSM Nagar, UP.

2. FIR No 43/03 dated 13/05/03 u/s 302 IPC PS Shiv Ratan Ganj, CSM Naagar, UP.

3. FIR No. 494/08 dated 05/05/08 u/s 323/504/506/308/325 IPC PS Shiv Ratan Ganj, CSM Nagar, UP.

4. DD. No. 399/08 u/s 110-G CrPC PS Shiv Ratan Ganj, CSM Nagar, UP.5. DD. No. 406/08 u/s 3 and 4 UP Gunda Act, PS Shiv Ratan Ganj, CSM

BLIND MURDER CASE SOLVED WITHIN 12 HOURS ACCUSED ARRESTED AND WEAPON OF OFFENCE RECOVERED

With the arrest of accused Pitamber Bishwa Karma (age 26 years) S/o Kamal Bishwa Karma R/o Village Dhunge Thati, Ward No. 9, PS Karki Netta District Parbat Anchal Dhaulagiri, Nepal, staff of PS S.J. Enclave, South District have worked out a blind murder of a rag picker Dharam Pal S/o Balbeer R/o Village Rajgarh, PO Bhagowala, PS Mandawali, District Bijnour, UP and recovered knife used in commission of crime.

BRIEF FACTS :

On 24.04.12 at 6.55 AM, a PCR call was received vide DD No. 6A regarding a person is dead in a quarrel in ganda nalah behind Green Field School, S.J. Enclave, New Delhi. On receipt of the said information, the local police reached at the spot and found a dead body of a male aged about 40 years in the nalah with multiple stab wounds on neck and chest. After long efforts, the deceased was identified as Dharam Pal S/o Balbeer R/o Village Rajgarh, PO Bhagowala, PS Mandawali, District Bijnour, UP who was a rag picker and presently staying in the Jhuggi Camp near Hanuman Mandir, Sector-1, R.K. Puram. Since there was no eye witness of the incident, a case vide FIR No. 131/12 U/S 302 IPC was registered at P.S. S.J. Enclave on 24.04.12 and investigation was taken up.

INVESTIGATION :

During enquiry, it came to the notice that deceased had a fight early in the morning with a labour working in a nearby chicken shop and he is missing now. His name was identified as Pitambar r/o Nepal. Since the whereabouts of suspect were not known and there were all possibility of his escape to Nepal, so a team consisting of Inspector Sandeep Ghai (SHO/Safdar Jung Enclave), Inspr. Sunjay Sharma (Inspr./Investigation), ASI Shri Krishen, ASI Tulsi Bahadur, HC Sudheer, HC Suneel, Ct. Diwan Singh, Ct. Awdhesh, Ct. Naresh, Ct. Pop Singh was formed and some other staff was also taken along and 6 teams were constituted to monitor the movement of suspect Pitambar at Railway Stations and Interstate Bus Terminals. They were briefed to check the trains and buses bound for border districts of Nepal. Continuing efforts of the staff resulted into arrest of accused within 12 hours of registration of FIR from the DDA Jungle near Khanna Tennis Stadium.

INTERROGATION :

During sustained interrogation, accused Pitambar Bishwa Karma confessed that he came to Delhi 10-12 days back and started working as labour in Chawla Chicken Shop around 3 days back. He had earlier also worked in this shop. Yesterday morning, he saw rag picker Dharam Pal near his shop and asked him to give Bidi but he refused for the same. Dharam Pal himself started smoking bidi in order to tease the accused. He also used certain bad words for him. This annoyed Pitambar and both had a scuffle wherein Dharam Pal slapped him on his face. Pitambar immediately rushed to his shop, picket up a sharp edged knife used for cutting vegetables and made 3-4 assaults on the neck and chest of Dharam Pal. After finding him in a pool of blood, he got afraid and ran away and took shelter in dense forest/jungle of DDA near Khanna Stadium. His clothes were soaked in blood and dirt and were also torn, so he decided to flee from Delhi to Nepal in the night so that nobody could identify him in dark. Accused Pitambar Bishwa Karma originally hails from Nepal and belongs to a very poor family. He is a school dropout. He came to Delhi for search of employment and started working as labour at various sites and after passing a long vacation in Nepal, he came to Delhi 10-12 days back. He had recently started working at Chawla Chicken Shop. His wife left him in distress, so he started taking ganja and other psychotropic substances. Since he comsumes ganja etc., his mind is not in his control and he becomes very aggressive sometimes.

With the arrest of two persons namely Mukesh kumar Sahu (23 years) s/o Chote Lal r/o H. No. 207, Gali No. 10, L-1, Sangam Vihar, New Delhi and Surjeet Bhardwaj @ Suraj (22 years) s/o Shobha Ram r/o H. No. 58, Gali No. 8, L-1, Sangam Vihar, New Delhi, staff of PS Saket, South District has solved 3 cases of snatchings reported in South Delhi in which chain was snatched from the ladies in the evening. Gold chain, 2 lockets and motor cycle used in commission of crime has been recovered.

BRIEF FACTS :

With the starting of summer seasons and visibility of gold articles put on by womenfolk, the chain snatchers are activated and incidents of this crime generally increase. A few cases of snatching of gold chain from the ladies were reported in South Delhi areas. In one such case, the gold chain was snatched from a lady in the late evening in the area of PS Saket when she was coming from the vegetable market. Some digits of the number of motor cycle could be noted down by the complainant who was further put to combinations and permutation to reach to the right number of the motor cycle. Some secret sources were also deployed. The team consisting of SI Rajender Kumar, Arvind kumar, ASI Makhan Singh, HC Sukh Lal, Ashok Kumar, Consts. Bupender, Sandeep and Gyanander under the supervision of Inspr. Rajender Singh, SHO/P.S. Saket and Sh. Manishi Chandra, ACP/Hauz Khas on secret information arrested both the accused snatchers on Pulsar motor cycle. They were identified as Mukesh Kumar Sahu s/o Chote Lal r/o H. No. 2075, Gali No. 10, L-1st, Sangam Vihar, New Delhi and Surjeet Bhardwaj @ Suraj s/o Shobha Ram r/o H. No. 58, Gali No. 8, L-1st, Sangam Vihar, New Delhi. On search of both accused, two gold lockets were recovered from them and later on the gold chain was also recovered from their possession. The snatchers disclosed that the chain and locket had been snatched by them in late evening time from different localities of South Delhi. The accused were thereafter arrested. INTERROGATION & MODUS OPERANDI:

Both the arrested accused persons were put on sustained interrogation in which they revealed that they used to snatch gold chain from the ladies in late evening time. Usually they select the area in front of parks and a little isolated where the womenfolk may be targeted easily. They never repeated the same area consecutively and kept on changing localities with every incident. After identifying the victim, one of the accused would park motor cycle, some steps away in ready start condition while another would approach the victim showing himself to be busy in conversation on mobile phone and after getting close he would snatch the gold chain of the lady and then they would escape on their motor cycle.

Accused Mukesh Kumar is previously involved in 8 criminal cases and accused Surjeet Bhardwaj is previously involved in 2 criminal cases in Delhi.

It is important to mention that they used to borrow motorcycles

from their acquaintance on the pretext of attending urgent patient in the hospital or some emergency and would use the motor cycle in snatching without being noticed to the innocent owner of the motor cycles. They do not prefer stolen motorcycle to use in the snatching due to police checking in the area. Further cases are expected to be worked out on the basis of further interrogation from them.

In first instance, he had stolen few articles and left them at his native address and later on he felt

HUSBAND TURNED KILLER ON SUSPICION OF EXTRA MARITAL AFFAIRS. FAKE ACCIDENT SCENE CREATED

AFTER MURDER

Gruesome murder case of a lady solved.Well planned murder which was shown as road accident after murder.Husband shot his wife in fit of jealousy over suspicion of extra marital affair.Husband confessed the crime after giving several concocted stories. Weapon of offence i.e. country made pistol has been linked up, which was recovered vide a separate FIR.Motor cycle used in committing crime has also been recovered.

With the arrest of a person namely Amit S/o Ram Mehar, r/o Village and Post Tajpur, Delhi, Police Station Chhawla, South-West District Police has worked out the case of brutal murder of his wife namely Salu, which occurred on 10/04/2012 in the area of Chhawla. Weapon of offence i.e. country made pistol which was thrown in a bush near a school by the accused was recovered separately vide FIR No. 86/12 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act. GIST OF CASE

On 10/04/12, information was received at Police Station Chhawla.through PCR from Balaji Hospital, Deenpur More, Delhi regarding an injured having been admitted in the hospital after accident. The call was assignd to SI Devender who rushed to the hospital where patient Mrs Shalu w/o Amit Kumar r/o VPO Tajpur, Delhi was found ‘brought dead’ with alleged history of road accident. Another injured was found admitted in Ashuman Hospital, Sec-12 Dwarka vide MLC No.2650/12 in unfit for statement condition. Bereft of any eye witness, a case of accident was registered on the bases of MLCs and initial information to police on DD No. 34A. The investigation was initiated in right earnest.

BREAKTHROUGHLocal enquiries were made by the Police to extract clues

about the incident. During course of investigation and prior to the autopsy, the father of the deceased suspected foul play. Foul play and suspicion of father of the deceased made the police more alert and a dedicated team comprising Inspr. Sandeep Gupta, SHO/Chhawla, Inspr. Balbir Singh, ATO/Chhawla, SI Devender, H.Ct. Kuldeep and Ct. Surender of Police Station Chhawla was

constituted under the supervision of Sh. Narayan Singh, ACP/Najafgarh. The (second injured) namely Amit who is the husband of the deceasd was interrogated at length, who kept changing his version. He deposed that he had cordial relations with his wife however the same version was contradicted by his in-laws who exposed the cruelty of Amit against his wife Shalu. Amit used to beat her brutally and injured her several times. On one occasion, Amit inflicted head injury upon Shalu and old scar marks were still present, as alleged by her father. Keeping the allegation of the family members in mind, he antecedents background and recent movements of Amit was thoroughly analyzed. It emerged that Amit had strained relation with his wife as he suspected her of being involved in an extra martial affair with a boy who gifted a new fridge to Shalu on 04/04/12.

SDM/Najajfgarh was informed as the deceased had got married four years ago. The statements of the father & husband of the deceased was got recorded. Sensing the gravity of the case, a Board of Doctors was constituted and post mortem examination of the dead body was conducted on 19/4/12.

The Post mortem report revealed a startling fact that the deceased had died due to a firearm injury. Police swung into action and the needle of suspicion pointed towards Amit (the husband). As the probe intensified and the matter was minutely scrunitised, prima-facie it appeared that the husband Amit was actively involved in the murder of his wife. It transpired that on 4/4/12, a friend of Shalu(deceased) gifted her a refrigerator and sent it to the house of her in-laws, which became the bone of contention between the husband and wife. Amit, the husband started suspecting the fidelity of her. During course of investigation it was also noticed that Amit, who was driving the motor cycle didn’t sustain much injuries in this accident whereas the pillion rider died instantly. Amit was subjected to sustained interrogation by the police he finally broke down. He confessed to have murdered his wife and concocted the incident by showing it as an accident. Upon this the case of accident was changed into a case of murder.

INTERROGATION & CONFESSION

Accused Amit revealed during that his marriage was solemnized with Shalu in the year 2008. He has one boy aged 2yrs out of the wedlock. Initially he had been living a happy conjugal life but gradually difference started cropping up over trivial issues. However, of late, their relations became strained when he came to know about an extra martial affair of his wife with a boy who is residing in the area of Dabri. Their relationship reached a breaking point when on 4/4/12 the paramour gifted a refrigerator to Shalu and sent it to the house of accused. Aggrieved by the behavior of his wife and finding it difficult to strike any compromise, he decided to eliminate her. On the fateful day i.e 10/4/12, as per plan, the accused persuaded his wife to accompany him for fetching medicine from hospital. Deceased agreed and accompanied him on his motor cycle No.DL-4SBL-1436. On the way, near primary school, Village Tajpur, Amit stopped his motor cycle and whipped out a country made pistol and shot his wife. After confirming that she was dead, he threw the weapon in the bushes and made a call to his father concocting the story of an accident. NAME AND PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED - Amit (aged 25 years) S/o Ram Mehar r/o Village and Post Tajpur,

New Delhi., is illiterate and a casual labourer. His marriage was solemnized with the deceased 04 years ago. A boy child was born out of the wedlock He was totally fed up of the rude behavior and extra marital relations of his wife, thus decided to eliminate her.

RECOVERY-Weapon of offence i.e. country made pistol. -Motor cycle No. DL-4SBL-1436 used in committing crime.

Further investigation is in progress and staff will be suitably rewarded.

The accused was also wanted and declared as a Proclaimed Offender in case FIR No. 36/08, u/s 397/356/411 IPC, PS Hari Nagar. The application for production warrant was put up before the Hon'ble Trial Court against the aforesaid accused apprising the Hon'ble Court with all the facts and circumstances. After due satisfaction the Hon'ble Court, called upon the accused through production warrant. Thereafter the accused was formally arrested with the permission of Hon'ble Court.
