We shared on the pork ribs with some beer and it was really good. We were both tired of expensive convenience food at tourist resturants so this place was spot on. Good service, food and cheap prices. (40 czech for a big beer).

“Amazing service and food”


Our hotel recommended the restaurant so we went to check it out. The food and service was amazing. The pork ribs and beef top blade one of the best dishes we have ever tried. The restaurant was fully packed and yet our waiter i think cicoo was very friendly and helped us pick the food and recommended the top picks of the menu. Will be back for sure.John and SueCheers

“High standard for standard price”

Very good kitchen based on Czech gastronomy. The Daily menu is around 4/5 € what could be very acceptable for fast lunch.The only problem could by very high popularity of this restaurant, which can obligate you to wait some minutes during the lunch time 11:30 – 12:30.

We ate at this restaurant twice! The menu is varied from old world Bohemian soup -which is out of this world- to a one pound burger that is big enough for three to share! Great pork ribs as well. Extremely busy early evening, so go early or phone ahead for a reservation.

“Good non-tourist choice”

We asked our hotel concierge for a place where we wouldn't meet too many tourists (you know, um, people like us!). She sent us here, where our party of 9 were escorted to the cellar. Nice area, vaulted ceiling, brick walls, long wooden bench tables, not very fancy. Cold beer, good local food, nice atmosphere. Only thing to complain about was it took forever to get our check, and we were very ready to go. They did a nice job when we asked for something special for a birthday at the last minute. Recommended for some local color and flavor. By the time we left, upstairs was hopping with young hipsters, well-heeled crowd.

“Nice Food in Prague..”


Had dinner at this resturaunt, with a group of 15 friends, whilst working in Prague for the weekend.

The rssturant looks nice and is set at the corner of a busy Street, approx 10-15 minutes from the station or main areas.

They offer a range of food, including meats, fish and salads, with tall seats, TV feeling a bit like sports bar.

We booked a table at a quiet period. Whilst the food took over 60 mins to arrive, from order, with one person being forgotten, so waited over 90 minutes, the food tasted really good, when it arrived.

I would definitely visit it again, but not in a large group and not if I'm in a hurry.

“Great dinner”


I had the ribs and my wife had the duck. Both were wonderful. The rib plate came with 2 racks and was fall off the bone tender. The duck had crispy skin and tender meat that was not over cooked. Both dinners, a side of fries, and 2 half liter beers for 700 CK. Excellent value.

If you want a really tasty Meal on a budget then this is the place to go. The Food really was excellent and there was an excellent variety of things to choose from. The Drink was fantastic value and the Service was friendly and informative - our Waiter in particular was a great older Guy who was really chatty and interesting.

In the Potrefená Husa Narodni restaurant they serve traditional Czech but in a modern style. The quality is excellent, staff is friendly and helpful and prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is an old pub and still keeps some of the original pieces.

Just one advice... .rations are very generous, so don't over order.

“Don't over order”


Sat downstairs where less noisy. Food was fantastic and great value but portions were enormous so seriously over ordered. The house wines at 145czk (£3-£4) for 1/2L ridiculous value and excellent beers too. If you fancy spirits or cocktails easily as good. Great service but be sure to make clear how you want food served else it can all come at once.

The food was incredible and so was the service. Most of the servers speak English but we learned that when you give your order choose from the English menu and then find your order on the Czech menu. Twice I ordered something and received something totally different. I was pleasantly surprised both times and enjoyed what I was served! We went here 3 times during our stay! Try the Mojito.

We went here on a recommendation from the lady whose flat we're renting while in Prague, and we weren't disappointed. While the bar menu is extensive and at first it feels more like a bar than a restaurant, the downstairs was cozy and cave-like with AMAZING food. We stuck to the traditional Czech food, like stuffed beef with potato and bread dumplings, and we were blown away. The prices were very reasonable and we even got a free dessert drink at the end. It's also a little ways from the main tourist squares (but not too far) so it felt much more authentic.

“Amazing Experience”


This was a very plesent surprise finding this resturaunt on our travels. Staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. Waiter recommended our main courses and im glad he did the ribs i had where the best i had anywhere and my partners steak was perfect. Draught beers where beautiful and the atmsophere was great to, we ended up staying there all night after our meal. Very cheap aswell. I highly reccomend this place.

“Nice food and excellent value for money!”


The menu consisted of both local dishes and international. There appeared to be enough variety on the menu for most tastes. I had the chilly goulash and I was not disappointed, it was delicious. The other 6 people in our group also enjoyed their meals. The draught beer was Staropramen my favourite Czech lager it was cool and refreshing. It was mainly a young local crowd with a nice vibrant atmosphere. The staff all appeared to speak English and had a proactive approach to waiting on the customers needs. This is a complete non-smoking establishment with a modern interior. Really enjoyed the experience and would return without hesitation.

“Plain, go for other places ”


The place is not bad, just average. The food is totally from a chain, you can eat it, but you won't enjoy. Good points: staff was nice and was a non-smoking restaurant. Espresso was surprisingly above average (they won a tip) However I left feeling that I wasted one of the few dinners of my holiday. Oh , and the place is NOT cheap as reported by TripAdvisor comparing other prices on Prague

“Trendy Czech restaurant.”


Upon finishing the show in the nearby black light theater we found ourselves hungry and this was the first interesting restaurant came across. We read the menu, posted in a case near the door

and we decide to enter. The place is nice with some industrial attitude in my opinion, but nothing extra ordinary. rather common but not in the bad way. Most of the people inside were young and the place has some "vibe"Service is good from the beginning to end, Someone sit us in our table together with the menus and we order our drinks. Food is good and whatever we order was nice,We eat burgers, schnitzel, some pasta ( i don't remember) and chicken which were nice. My only complain is that he don't warm up the smashed potatoes but i think is common in Czech. Beers are nice and they have my favorite blended whiskey "Grants", so nothing to complain here.

It is a nice place to be and we didn't regret to enter without checking around. I think also that is cheap considering the rest of places inside the touristic downtown,.

The food we ordered was delicious. we had paste and pork ribs and the taste of the food was great. The only negative poiny from out side is that it was hard for us to decide what to eat the list

is for us too small, but then again it could be us. We payed for all the meal and 4 times Staropramen unfiltered at 0.5l - 661 czk (same price as 1 day of parking)

“One of the finest restaurants in Prague”


Was here twice along with my friends during our trip to Prague. Even though there are a lot of places with fine food in this city, this restaurant is very pleasant for me because of it's outstanding service and dishes (and of course beer!). “Decent Business Lunch at Andel”


Maybe it is inflation, or maybe it is location, but it appears prices for lunch are getting more and more expensive.It used to be around 90-110czk for a main meal, plus 20czk for a soup and 20czk for a drink - give or take few. Here the cheapest you could get would be around 180 - this is because their soup and drinks are expensive.Now this is actually happening to lots of places 'central'. So let's set aside price...The have a friendly staff, clean place, nice vibe, and the food was pretty good. Can easily recommend again, just be aware you are paying closer to dinner prices instead of the classic lunch places of lore...

“Upscale Pub with great cuisine”

We found a review of this local pub and took the metro to get there not knowing they had other locations (4) some of which were closer. The Na Verandach location was truly in a working class neighborhood. We had made reservations online but they did not have it and were a bit irritated. Get used to that in Prague just the personality of the locals. They seated us right away and my wife had been waiting to order a recommended dish the Pork Knee, which she did - it was terrific and worth it. I had not had any beef on the trip and decided to order the Beefsteak. my impression was a local dish but it was a nice simple steak. In fact it was a very good steak, but something I could have back home, so I was disappointed, not in the quality or flavor which was very good, but not in getting a local dish. The beer here was my favorite, probably because it was milder (not a beer drinker) great flavor. I would order the pork knee every time!

“Great value for money. Good food and beer with excellent service.”


This restaurant is one of the Czech Potrefena Husa chain run in partnership with the Staropramen Brewers. I guess a bit similar to the Marstons chain in the UK. There is a limited menu but the food is superb quality and there is plenty of it and the service is excellent. There is a limited but reasonable wine list and as you would expect the beer is fabulous including draft unfiltered, my favourite is the Granat which is difficult to find in my part of the U.K. We ate there a couple of times ( it gets very busy and is full of locals which tells you something) and really enjoyed both meals and spent less than 30 quid both times including two courses and drinks for two.Would not hesitate to go there again. Terrific value for money.

“My favourite in Prague”


That's my favourite pub/restaurant in Prague. Good food, great beer, nice price. When it's warm enough I recommend garden. You have daily menu or a'la carte. It's traditional Czech food with international elements. Very often crowded and noisy, rather pub style. It's located in the brewery.

“Great Atmosphere and Good Value”


We stumbled across this restaurant on the way to our hotel and ended up stopping for dinner. The meals were fantastic, and pretty decent servings. There's also a great array of Staropramen beers. The service was good and the prices not too bad for the size of the meals.

“Great food and friendly service”


Ate twice here during our 6-day stay. It was across the road from our hotel, and seeing as the food was so good, it made a great base to come home too in the evenings. There always seemed to be a table free. This is a good example of how traditional Czech food can be adapted to make it more 'European refined', the dessert dumplings were lovely, as were the (200 gram) steaks.

“tasty food but a bit expensive for what is offered”


a chain restaurant in czech republic and expensive. Nice atmosphere, tasty food however waiters are not so friendly and never smile. And i agree with Gina Juzi, when they see that you are not czech they actually see "euros". they expect that they are left with a big big tip and thus they don't bring back any change.... and this is done throught Prague. Very sad that this happens. I visited this restaurant once but never again....Not recommended at all

“Good dining place”


Part of chain in Prague. Therefore more or less predictable - you can get decent food and good service, but if the cook or waiter will have a bad day, then 2,5 stars is max what you can get. Most of the time good reasonably priced place.

If you like that the waiter decides his own generous tip, than def the place to be! Waiters just walk away with your money and never come back with your change (even thought it is around 200 kc which is a price of a decent meal in Prague)....they just assume that every non czech speaker must be a millionere and squeez them like a lemon. You just have a dolar sign above your head!

“Guarantee of good pub”


When you plan to eat or just have some drinks with friend or family, this is a nice place to go. They serve various czech cousine as well Staropramen beer. Food is tasty and fresh. You are not gonna be blown away, but for sure not disappointed.

“Liked it!!”


I have been passing by this restaurant (Part of the chain Potrefena Husa) and one day I decided to stop. It isprobably, together with the one in Hybernska street, one of the best of the chain! Because of its location and of the terrace, I highly recommend a visit during summer, when they offer the steaks directly from the grill. Also the menu gives you more than one nice choice!

“Random visit, excellent choice”


My wife and I were visiting extended family close by and we decided to go out for beer and food.We sat outside which was nice. Although service wasn't fast, we weren't in a hurry so didn't matter.We enjoyed the drinks and food was enjoyed by all.The restaurant inside has a very nice decor and pleasant atmosphere. Staff are pleasant and professional.Overall, top marks for this restaurant/bar.

“Sunday lunch with friends”

Everything great. Meals were tasty and big enough (sometimes a little bit bigger than enough ;-). Tank beer and good choice of well-made cocktails are also superb combination. Waitress was very kind and polite. Chair for small child was available. In short, amazing experience, I gladly recommend.

We live just a few streets away from this place, so we are there quite often. We are visiting this restaurant for about 2 years by now. There is really nothing to complain about. The menu changes quite often which is a good thing and every month there are some specials. It is not the cheapest place to be honest, (could be perhaps a little bit cheaper, especially the beer) but we think it is worth it. The staff is always friendly and helpful (once they somehow missed our reservation, but in the end - are we not all humans?). Quality of food is great (never had any problems, never had to send the food back to the kitchen), the place is clean and modern. Perfect for family celebrations or just for a few drinks. It`s very crowded on the weekends, so a reservation is a must. We hope the quality will stay at this point in the future as well.

Potrefena Husa is like a Czech McDonalds for me. But I have to say, that staff is nice and try to be helpful. Sometime offer to the guests little more often than will be desirable. I don´t like when waitress come to me every 10-15 minutes to asks if I want another beer. But always smiling. Food is good, prices are little more expensive. But If you will like the food and the style, You can go in others restaurants with this place and you will find the exactly same food. Design of restaurant is cool, but not such a breathtaking.

“Friendly staff, great beer and wine”


I like this restaurant a lot. They have delicious plates on menu (i recommend the burger, all pastas, steaks and snacks to eat with beer). Even though I'm not a big beer lover, I like their offer of wine - especially chardonnay.

At Potrefena Husa Dejvice you get what you pay for. Food is rather basic but tasty.On occasions we have had to wait for our food but usually it comes fairly quick. If not, you can always order a second beer:) The staff is friendly.This is a restaurant we go to when we have no other plans, it is never disappointing.

You wont go wrong by visiting this pub/restaurant chain in this quite area of Prague. Bit more expensive drinks and proffessional service on one hand, little sterile and non-creative interiors on the other. And the crowd could be described in pretty much the same way. If you feel hungry and thirsty, if you are young and succesfull and dont know any other places, look no further. I visit this place regularly on my beer crawls through Prague 6, but never have memorable experience. But then again, cant complain about anything. The rating should be between 3-4 really.

“Good for drinks not for food”

Me and my wife had a dinner here after our landlady recommend it to us. The place looks more as an American pub than a Czech restaurant. The decor is modern but not very comfortable, with tables laid out to maximize space but to reduce clients' comfort. We ordered pork ribs and fries. The ribs were tasty at the beginning but soon we realized that there were extremely grease and fatty. We could not finish it, we got nauseated. Fries were ok, but nothing special, finally the beers were good ( as you would expect anywhere in Czech republic). It is a very informal place good for drinks and pub food but I 'd stay away from their dinner menus.

“Excelent meal and staff”


One of the Staropramen's beer restaurant - this is more about the food, atmosphere and great staff. Though the beer is not bad, most of the people come here mainly because of their kitchen. They serve typical czech meals with special care and you can also pick from italian (pasta) and american (wings) meals. One of the best czech rest.! Recommended! :)

If you ever planing a trip to Czech republic, this is a must visit Сzech restaurant. Potrefena Husa is one of the Staropramen franchise , i would tip tree specific ones as there are more but their menu is a bit different ( Dejvicka , Vinohrady and Pankrac locations) . The combinations of dishes on menu list is extraordinary. I would advise traditional traditional Czech cream soup " Kulajda" made with sour cream, potatoes, dill and quail egg , one of the best i've ever tried. And duck breast medium rate with mashed potatoes. all mentioned you need to carefully pour with either Staropramen Granat or i prefer better Hoegaarden.
