A-Level Media Studies: WJEC (Eduqas) DRAWN DRAFTS TASK YOU ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE FOUR DRAWN MAGAZINE LAYOUTS: (All draft layouts must be scanned/photographed and uploaded in a neat and orderly fashion) Every design process starts with pencil and paper. This process applies to your magazine pages. Using the template attached, you are required to draw two Front Cover designs and two Double Page Spread designs. You must include: a variety of ideas for page layouts/structures; a number of columns & images on contents and double pages, a masthead design (possible logo), character position/composition, possible costume/props, colour scheme and positioning of conventions. All drafts must be annotated with your decision-making. You do not need to produce well-drawn layouts. The purpose of drawn drafts is to mark out the different elements to take into your digital drafts stage. OBJECTIVE To demonstrate to the examiner that you have planned out all print products and have carefully considered layout, composition, and use of industry conventions.
