Hola a todos (Hello everyone) we had a great 6 weeks learning Spanish, it was full of singing, stories, and lots of fun. Our Spanish teacher taught us so many words in Spanish, we loved joining in with all her fun activities.

Due to the snow we ended up celebrating World Book day a little later then expected. However, we had a blast it was a great day we dressed up as our favourite story character and went to the local library to listen to stories, we had so much fun.

The Green Unit have been looking at the community we live in, they have gone on various mini outings around the community and really enjoyed learning about road safety. They had to do a Beetle pose on the zebra crossing, its been so much fun.

Riverview Kindergarden

We love to bring stories to life, today we had a visit from Meg the witch, she brought some friends to show us, and to help tell the story of Meg and Mog. It was so much fun we got to have a hold of a snake, snail, beetle, and a spider.

Our hours will be changing from September, our free funded hours will go from 15 to 20 free hours for 2 and 3-year olds. Also, you may be entitled to 30 hours free childcare, if you are both working, please come and see our office staff for more information. Remember we still have our refer a friend gift voucher scheme.

This term we won an award from day nurseries and we are now one of the top 20-day nurseries in the North East with a review score of 10. Thank you to all parents who have provided brilliant reviews. If you want to offer a review, pick up a review card or go online at www.daynurseries.co.uk.

After half term we will be taking part in a sponsored toddle around Benwell, we would love for you all to get involved, over the next few weeks your child will receive a sponsor form to raise money for the children’s department at the RVI, if you want to come along on the walk, let someone know it will be great to see you.

We have reached the end of the year, and we have a great goodbye wow planned, it is both a happy and sad occasion as we celebrate all the children’s achievements in the setting and say goodbye to those leaving for reception or nursery. We will let you know about dates and times for the goodbye wow.

It is nearly time for our summer fun weeks, this year we are having 5 weeks of summer fun. We are so excited we have trips, BBQ, Ice-cream van and party days. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for more details.
