Peer 1 please provide constructive feedback:DAISY:I love the whole idea of the animation especially using pieces of fruit and vegetables as the characters, definitely gets the message across about eating your five a day.The use of audio was excellent as it plays all the way through the animation giving the idea that they are actually at a club, it also helped that it was correct amount of noise so it wasn’t overpowered which would of ruined the animation due to the main focus would have been the music instead of the visuals. The use of visuals was excellent as well as the characters themselves were of a good quality and actually using pieces of fruit and vegetables showed a lot of enthusiasm into the project as well as the 3D aspect of the characters. Finally the use of interactivity was excellent as well as the end of the animation is had the message which was clearly presented even though it was spread out on five frames. Loved the idea of using magnetic letters to show the message made them stand against the background.Overall I thought the animation was of a good standard and how it is suitable for a PG rating. Very impressed with the making of this animation especially with all the time and effort put in when producing it to the actual animating of it. Well done Jess

Peer 2 please provide constructive feedback:LewisThe music at the start of the animation already shows that it has met its brief by showing audio, the start of the animation has some text introducing what the information of the infomercial is about, and by showing this it has a small bit of interactivity to the audience. Moving on throughout the animation the movement of the vegetables dancing in the night club have the dancing theme to the infomercial really gives the effects to the infomercial. The improvement that could be changed on the dance part is that the vegetables could have arms and move around the dance floor a bit more. Although the original vegetables do give the infomercial the effect of dancing vegetables. The ending part of the infomercial has text showing that you should eat five a day, having the dancing bit to have a good build up to the final sequence. The last text has the effect on the audience as it interacts with them to eat five a day.

Peer 3 please provide constructive feedback:MeganThe visuals, interactivity and sound are all clearly shown all throughout the entire production. By adding the sound at the very start it shows that you have thought about the use of sound and met part of the criteria, I like how the sounds lasts throughout the entire production as it creates the feeling that the fruit and vegetable are actually in a night club. So the production becomes more realistic. With the visuals I think by using actual fruit and vegetables helped to really make the infomercial more effective and helped to get the message across straight away. The effects added to the photos are good as they give the effect of the characters being in a nightclub, this also shows that effort and thoughts have gone into creating your infomercial. As with the message, I think it should have lasted a little longer as it was slightly hard to read. However, the message and interactivity were clearly shown and informative.Overall, I really enjoyed this infomercial because it was simple, fun and

informative.

In your own words detail what you think the strengths and weaknesses of the production :From my peers feedback on my animation I do not agree that the visuals are excellent because in my planning I put that I would be making party hats for my fruit and vegetable characters but then they didn’t work out. From this I said that I would Photoshop them in, by doing this I would have had no time to add lighting effects and it would have took a long time, so my visuals were not as excellent as I would have wanted.I believe that my best features were my audio and interactivity. My audio I thought was excellent because it was not overpowered and the choice of the music made the fruit and vegetables feel like they were actually in a night club. My interactivity started at the start by introducing the production and then finished at the end with a message for the audience. I agree with one of my peers saying that the message at the end was well displayed and that the audience would get the message and take on board to listen to the message and to eat their five a day. In my planning I said that the dialogue would be the message at the end being spoken and the music would have stopped. From liking the audio a lot I thought that I should leave the audio all the way through and to leave the over voice out, from my peers feedback they didn’t make any complaints about the audio and liked it all the way through so I’m pleased that I left that out.I could have added more audio effects to make the fruit and vegetables more excited to be at a party and to make them more human like.

Think about the planning materials you created, did you follow them? If not why? Did the production change at all while you were making it?Most of my planning material I followed, however some I never. For example in my planning I put that I would be making party hats for my fruit and vegetable characters but then they didn’t work out. From this I said that I would Photoshop them in, by doing this I would have had no time to add lighting effects and it would have took a long time, so my visuals were not as excellent as I would have wanted. When making an animation again I will follow my planning as I think that it would have made my visuals better even though my peers thought different.

I did follow the interactivity of the animation, by keeping it as “stop, remember you five a day” I believe that I never kept the dialogue script of the interactivity as the music was much better to keep all the way through my animation. There

would have been a short over voice at the end saying “stop, remember your five a day!” but I preferred music all the way through. As you can see below.

Think about the research you undertook, how has that influenced your production. Compare your production to the professional examples you found, use images to illustrate your points:

From looking at the change 4 life advert at the end of the infomercial there is a message to change your life and to change your eating lifestyle. This influenced me by having an impact message and to get across that people will take on board and to remember to eat their five a day. But looking at the characters before I needed to have a good storyline so that they remember the advert, because everyone knows the change 4 life adverts. I believe that my production is easy to remember because of how I put my animation together via the dancing fruit and vegetables and the ending message which is to eat your five a day. I took ideas from my research but changed a lot of things to be unique and to be my own work and for people to enjoy my infomercial.

What did you learn through doing this project? Did you develop any skills? :I learnt a lot in making the animation and undertaking the project. The best thing I learnt was how to use the rostrum and how to use dragon frame to take a load of different shots to put them together to make my animation. I now know how to set up the rostrum and how to take the camera shots on dragon frame by using the keyboard. The other think I loved to learn was how to change the effects and lighting effects of my animation in Adobe Premiere Pro. Using these effects makes my animation professional and it makes it look like they are actually at a night club with the changing of the lighting effects.
