P: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God who is faithful and just will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

P: God of all mercy,C: We confess that we have sinned against you, opposing your will in our lives. We have denied your goodness in each other, in ourselves, and in the world you have created. Forgive, restore and strengthen us through our Savior Jesus Christ, that we may abide in your love and serve only your will. CAMEN. Surely, for your sake have I suffered reproach, and shame has covered my face.

I have become a stranger to my own kindred, an alien to my mother's children.

Zeal for your house has eaten me up; the scorn of those who scorn you has fallen upon me.

I humbled myself with fasting but that was turned to my reproach.

"In your great mercy, O God, answer me with your unfailing help.

PRAYER OF SPIRITUAL COMMUNIONP: Lord Jesus, you call to yourself all who labor and are heavy-laden, to refresh them and to give rest to their souls. We earnestly desire to experience your love at the heavenly feast you have prepared for your people on earth. As we are not able on this day to be gathered at your Table, may we receive you into our hearts by faith, trusting the word of your promise, that “those who love me will keep my word, and my Father will love them, and will come to them and make our home with them.”Strengthen our faith, increase our love and hope; and after this life grant us a place at your heavenly table, where we shall eat of the eternal manna, and drink of the river of your pleasure forevermore. Hear us for your own Name’s sake. C: AMEN.
