JUNIOR CHALLENGE (Grade 4 – Grade 7) Task: A track of 15 meters will be created with various obstacles and variations. Each team needs to build two machines, one machine will clear the way for the other machine to avoid hurdles and press the switch at the finish line. The team completing the track in minimum time will be announced the winner. Robot Specifications: 1. Both the robots can be wireless/wired. 2. The size of both the robots should not exceed 300mm *300mm*300mm (W x L x H). General Rules: 1. The team should consist of maximum 4 students. 2. The remotes will be collected before the start of the final competition and will be given only at the time of turn of the team. After the competition the remotes will be handed over to the respective team. (Just to avoid interference caused during the final judgements). 3. A team that takes more than 5 minutes will be disqualified. 4. Only 3 manual touches are allowed and after touching the machine, the machines will be kept at last milestone. After 3 touches every touch will give you negative 2 points. 5. You can use anything that is given to you to build the robot. 6. Decision of judges will be final decision no further discussion or consideration will be done. 7. In case, if any school teacher/other person is found helping their team, the team will be disqualified immediately.

Robot 1 & 2 has to start from the START area shown in the arena. Robot 1 will go up the blue slide and Robot 2 to has to fill the ditch by going through the green path making the way for the Robot 1 to cross the ditch. Robot 1 has to reach the finish line by crossing the ditch and the turn on the switch placed in the finish area to complete the task.

Scoring Criteria:

The points for the task are as follows –
