ONAAR Development OrganizationAbout ONAAR Development Organization:“Oriental Nursing and Alternate Resolutions” ONAAR Development Organization (ONAAR) is a Humanitarian, Right based and Social Welfare organization working in the KPK Province of Pakistan. ONAAR works in diversified sectors such as Advocacy, Human Rights, Education, Health, Livelihood, Community Empowerment and work for the Betterment and Fight for the Rights of Children, Women, and Vulnerable/Marginalized people of the Society including PWDs, CWDs. ONAAR Struggle to take active and positive role in the process of Sustainable Development in all spheres of life through participatory approach.ONAAR, Administered or governed by the Executive Body. ONAAR is a Pool of Social Scientists, Implementers, Professionals and Social Activists. ONAAR Believes in Sustainable Action for Advocacy and Provision of Human Rights as well as Protection of Child Rights & Women Rights.

ONAAR Development OrganizationAchievements and Work done:

ONAAR technically handled the relevant Challenges and rectified and removed the misconception about NGOs. Key achievements are as under;

Distribution of Winter Cloths to vulnerable, marginalized, widows, orphans and poorest families at District Mansehra, Torghar and Battagram. Donation/Charity of warm cloths given by Hidaya Foundation through Hidaya Trust Pakistan, Abbottabad Office.

ONAAR did the activities of MDGs/SDGs, the campaign against Poverty or to End Poverty under Action/2015 with a National Based organization “AWAAZ Foundation, AWAZCDS” Multan in 2015 through a signed MOU.

Eid and Ramadan Package activity performed at ONAAR District office Mansehra. Food Packages have been distributed in widows and orphans. The funds raised by ONAAR itself through personal links from individual Philanthropist/Donors.

ONAAR Mansehra raised funds online through the GlobalGiving Foundation and funds have been utilized on the project prescribed activities in the education sector at District Mansehra .

With the collaboration of Local Government through its Assistant Director have managed awareness raising campaign for the Green KPK through mass communication (Pamphlets).

ONAAR Development Organization has signed MOU (for 2012-14) in District Mansehra as IP Partner on Advocacy and Awareness Raising of Child Rights & Protection with a National Based NGO “Sahil” working on “Child Sexual Abuse” EU & Norwegian funded project. Pics

ONAAR Development Organization worked and remained an IP for three years through MOU in District Mansehra on Advocacy and Awareness Raising of Child Rights & Protection with a National Based NGO “Sahil” working on “Child Sexual Abuse”. The project was funded by European Commission.

Responsive Education and Awareness for Child Protection (REAP) Through “Sahil”, funded by Norwegian Embassy

CPNs: Facilitation to the formation of “Child Protection Network” at District Mansehra, KPK. There starting responsibilities in the communities is to collect data on child abuse cases, deal with issues such as birth registration, out of school children and any other particular issues in the localities. They are also facilitated to develop a referral mechanism at UC and district level for services and complaints of child sexual abuse cases.

A group of 30 male & female community members from each village was provided training on Child Rights & Protection.

Training of Para Counseling Skills: Members of CPNs and ONAAR organization representatives to build their capacity on counseling techniques. A five day training session covered the needs and abilities to Counsel Children and affectively communicate with them. P-5/10

Training of teachers to Address Issues of Protection: Facilitate and organize “Meri Hifazat” (MH) training in different primary schools to prevent children from all types of abuse especially sexual abuse.

Expanding Sustainable Child Advocacy Protection and Empowerment Project (ESCAPE) Through “Sahil” Supported by European Union

Community Awareness Training to the Master Trainers of ONAAR: 3day TOT to Master trainers of ONAAR on child protection and especially sexual abuse.

Replication of Community Training: Community replication training by these Master Trainers of ONAAR have conducted trainings to the community Activists for further flow the child protection messages and techniques.

Sharing of messages with community: Trained activists (by Master Trainers of ONAAR) have conveyed the messages to 177 persons by each activist.

Facilitate the training of Meri Hifazat, Adolescent Health and Parenting training on child protection at different UCs of District Mansehra.

All these training session replications and seminars have done in each year.

Globalgiving Open Challenge March – 2014“Educate 300 Children with Nutrition in Pakistan”

ONAAR Development OrganizationProject ReportThe proposed project “Educate 300 Children with Nutrition in Pakistan” was designed and developed by ONAAR Development Organization and uploaded on the site of Globalgining.org in Open Challenge March – 2014 for fundraising. During March,2014, the project received Donations from three Donors an amount of $ 218 USD. The project leader of the instant project through its organization ONAAR has identified, assessed and managed an event for the interventions of the activities of the instant project of distribution of education kits and Nutrition items, Milk, Bicuits to the vulnerable and deserving students have been distributed and delivered in the school of Rehmat Public School Datta, Mansehra, KPK, Pakistan through the chief guest Assistant District Education Officer (ADEO), Mansehra. Besides this, juices are also distributed to all of students of the school.The funds collected via Globalgiving have been utilized at proper place in the welfare, the promotion and Empowerment of Adolescent girls through Education. Celebrated national event 14th August, 2014 A joint walk with District Management & Administration. A Puppet show on 14th August at SOS village (orphans school). A joint celebrating 14th August event at DHQ hospital Mansehra.

From the platform of CRAN, ONAAR conducted many activities, e.g. Jail visits to assess child rights of minors in the jail, visits of SOS village, sweet Home etc.

ONAAR Development Organization conducted CRAN Project. Project was the Baseline Survey regarding the issues of Child Rights and Protection in District Mansehra. “Child Rights & Protection” situation analysis through base line survey of District Mansehra. ONAAR Development Organization have done walk on the Universal day of Child – 20 th Nov at Shergarh with different schools and community. A special “Walk” for Save the Children (against Drugs) has been done, and other program on “Education For All” (EFA) also have been done for Awareness Raising. SCS has made two CDLC (Child Development & Learning Center) with the cooperation of ONAAR. In parallel, the IRC-PRIDE Project addressed Health issues with the cooperation of ONAAR as IP.
