A new era for New Zealand Karting is getting close and Supreme Kart Supplies & Engines is delighted to be the NZ distributor of the Vortex ROK DVS engine announced just prior to Christmas . The Vortex ROK DVS is a state of the art water-cooled engine, but without all the complexity of batteries, starter motors and clutches, harking back to the simpler, lighter days of old. An engine that will offer Junior and Senior competitors a raw yet sophisticated karting experience with throttle response to match. The simplicity, technology and quality of the DVS engine far exceed that of the old Yamaha KT100. An exceptional service life combined with long term fixed performance control/rules make the ROK DVS an excellent engine choice. It will provide drivers with the stability they are looking for as there are no ongoing evolution costs and the engine’s excellent parity will provide a level playing field with regards to performance. The same simple philosophy as applied to the Vortex Mini ROK carburettor has been adopted for the DVS carburettor. This ensures that the tuning is very simple for everyone. Two 2018 ROK Cup International Junior Seats

KartSport New Zealand has confirmed that the two ROK Cup 2018 International Finals (9-13 October 2018 at Lonato, Italy) Junior seats will be awarded to the first two place getters in the Vortex ROK DVS Junior class at the 2018 National Schools Championships, to be contested at KartSport Hawkes Bay on 14th July 2018.The prizes (subject to conditions) will include:

- free entry - free complete kart for the race (OTK chassis + engine) - tyres for the race - free paddock spot and tent - hotel accommodation for the race days (for the driver) - free lunch - travel assistance from the KartSport/Lascom/Dunlop International Travel Fund.

The two Senior seats will be held over until 2019. Stand by for further announcements regarding the announcement of the number of, and allocation of, the 2019 Junior and Senior seats for the 2019 ROK Cup International Finals.
