Investigation1.0 Introduction 1.1.1 Explanation about my project

In everyday life we use cars, generator and many others things to meet ours needs. Because of this we’ve release a huge amount of carbon dioxide (C02). The release of co2 has result to contribute to climate change. The climate change is a fundamental issue; it can cause a lot of risk to country around the world like damage public facilities and the country’s economy. If we don’t take action to save our planet we’ll have a lot of impact to us in the future. But we can reduce the risk in the future by knowing how to use product wisely and efficiently. In this project I will create a video to show people how to use their resources wisely and I’ll show how trash can be useful to turn into something that is useful. By turning unusable stuff into something useful we can save a lot of money. In this project I will create a video to show people how to save the energy and how to turn their existing product in to something that is useful and cost almost nothing.

1.1.2 why am I Interested?I’m interested in this project because I can see a lot of things being thrown away which mean the environment are being harm. So the important message in this project is to tell people that they should not throwaway things they using if it not working they should consider how they could turn the things to something that is beneficial. So if everyone in the world can do that not only we can save a lot of money but also at the same time we can save the planet to reduce the risk in will happen in the future. 1.1.3 how is it link to global context? My project is related to two global contexts: Scientific and technical Innovation and Globalization and sustainability. It ‘s relate to Scientific and technical Innovation because in the video that I’m going to make have a lot of scientific explanation. It’s related to Globalization and sustainability because it’s about the environment (How can we recycle?) how it will affect the environment.

To ensure that people can get the attention the video must have server feature such as embedded link in the video, widget that can take the audience to your social network and interaction between the content creator and the audience.- Embedded links or annotation

Embedded link can help the audience to learn more about the information that I want to talk about include the link to the website of a company or an organization in which people can donate.

- Widget and social network Social network make the audience get know the creator of content more and the audience can also ask question on what they don’t know or curious about other information that is not include in the video.

- InteractionThe content creator needs interaction with the audience so the audience and get updated videos depending on the situation in the society. Sometimes the content creator need to create a new video for some or a lot question that a large group of audience curious about.

Why recycle is important?

There are several factors that make recycle important:- By making a new product we need natural resources but if we recycle we reduce the use of

natural resources, which is good for our earth.- By using recycle material, in manufacture process took less energy to produce a product

compare to the raw materials.- Recycle can help to reduce mining, disforestation - It can help the reduce the expanding of landfills, instead going straight to the land fills the

disposal recycle product are being transfer to the factory to become a new product.- It saves us money by turning disposal product into something new we can use, we can save

some money to buy new product from the market.

How to reduce waste in our home?

To reduce waste in our home we need to follow these entire rules below:- When shopping buy the product that have recyclable package - Try to eat something fresh that come without package - Try to cut down on using tissue or paper towel- Reuse shopping bag such as plastic and all other kind of bags.- Buy usable water bottle that can use to be refill- Do creative things to some of your disposal product - When something broken try to find a way to repair it- Use reachable battery - Give away and sells thing that you don’t need.

What disposable product can be reuse?

Disposable product like plastic, steel is disposal product that can be reuse and recycle. These is a list of some item that can be reuse:- Butter wrapper- Aluminum foil - Plastic water bottle or yogurt container - Newspaper

2.1.1Explanation about research planFor question number 1 I think that I must know how to get people’s attention through video to let the people around us feel that same way as I do and start to do the same.For question 2 I think I must know how important recycle is before I can explain about all the stuff in the video. I must understand the concept how and why is it important to me as a person that can contribute into the society For Question 3 is the way to show how much waste that come from our home. I want to teach people how to be better on reduce reuse and recycle. If we can do this we can save a lot of money and energy for the future generation.For question 4 I think the best way to give people an idea on what they shouldn’t thorw away and to show them they do not have to buy more products from the market because some of the product can be reuse easily if we do something to it.

2.2 Evaluate existing product


This video is from a Youtube channel called ‘’Crazy Russian hacker’’ this video is about 5 ways to recycle and reuse household item. I really like his video because he shows a very good example to the video that I’m going to make. This video connected in two different concept environment and scientific concept. It connected to environmental concept because the recycle and saving energy can help us to make the environment greener. This video gives very clear instruction and demonstration on how to do recycle hacks on the video so it’s easy for the viewer to understand and follow

This next video is actually from another Youtube channel called ‘’list 25’’ This video show me some house hack that I can use to make my life better and save money. This video is not all about recycle but I thinks I in my video I will do something like this video. I really like the video but on things is the lack of instruction on how to do those things. In my video I will show the viewer how recycle being done with clear instruction. Overall this is a good video to show some ways that we can recycle but the lack of instruction is the weakness of this video.


This next video is from a YouTube channel called ‘’ KGB survivalist’’. This video shows how to turn the 2-liter water bottle in to many things. I really like the creativity of this video how I’m really surprise how 2 liter water bottle can turn into things that is really useful and something that we might use. The one thing I don’t like is how or why do we need this type of househack because some house hack are completely wasted the water bottle. So overall this video is good for educational purpose or when we stuck in survival situation.

This video shows a cool way how to make emergency candle. This hack is very useful because it use material from the local items in the house. I like the style of this video because it’s basically explain every steps what I need to do to end up with the final product. What I don’t like about this video is audio. The audio look like it had been taken from a robot not a human voice. In the video that I’m going to make I will use my real voice to explain things in my video.

2.3. Design Brief


I’m going to make a video that will explain how recycle is important and show them some example just to give ideas to the audience on how what they can recycle. I will gives them tips that can turn recycle object to something useful that can be reuse.

This is my first attempt I didn’t have a lot of ideas in this design. I think some of the feature of this design will be in the final video such as the intro.

This is my second design I decided to make more scene. This design is interesting because I can see lot of thing going on such as the credits and demonstration on how to recycle. These feature will definitely will ended up in the final design

I think this final design has a lot of common stuff that all video in YouTube have. This design is very accurate and what I’m going to apply in the final product. This design demonstrates a lot about recycle including the information, and how to do it. I decided to add some examples the video because I don’t want the viewer to get bored. So that is why there are so many parts in this video. I think this video will help all people around the world to know more about problems that we are having now. This is my final design that I drew:

This is my 3rd design. So the not much has changed. The only changes in this design are more information and the combination of design 1&2.
