It’s that time of year again for us to have some fun golfing while raising funds to support the community in which we work. The 2016 event will be the fifth year that Shell Appalachia has organized a fun-filled day to benefit the community. There will be raffle items to win, a great course to play, tremendous food stationed throughout the course, longest drive competition, closest to the pin and a putting challenge. In years past, the event has benefited Special Olympics, Soldiers & Sailors Hospital, Partners in Progress, Highland Chocolates, Head Start Programs and the YMCA of Mansfield. The 2016 charity event will benefit:

Tioga Homeless Initiative – Assists individuals and families with lodging while seeking employment. The initiative has served 412 families in the last 4 years.

Recovery Revolution – Assists individuals and families that are affected by drug addiction.

There are many ways in which you can help and they are all listed on the website. You can get involved by golfing, sponsorship of a hole, being a food vendor on the course, provide raffle items or volunteer. The event has raised approximately $200,000 for these charities over the last four years and success is based on our generosity.
