Please ensure your child comes to school appropriately dressed as outdoor learning will go ahead regardless of the weather. Currently P7 is having a chewing gum epidemic. Please remind your child that chewing gum is not allowed in school for health and safety reasons. This term PE will be on a Tuesday. For the time being, we will be doing gym outside. Please ensure children are wearing appropriate footwear. We are using Microsoft Teams this year to get our homework. If you cannot access Teams, please let the teacher know so that alternative homework can be given. Complete all your homework for a prize… If your child gets a P7 have selected 5 articles from the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child that they believe are important for learning in school. They understand that while rights are important, they also bring with them responsibilities. P7 have selected the following articles: Article 13 Article 23 Article 28 Article 29 Article 31 They have reflected upon both their responsibilities in upholding these rights, as well as the adult’s responsibilities. These are clearly displayed in our classroom for us all to use. First and foremost I would like to congratulate P7 on their extraordinary maturity and resilience during our time in isolation last week. The children demonstrated a real responsibility for their own work, participating effectively in live lessons and asking pertinent questions. Well done P7 – you are a credit to yourselves. Well done to Nicole for being our first ‘Above and Beyond’ pupil for her fantastic effort with her handwriting this term. I cannot wait to see it continue to improve. Huldah, Beth and Megan have also showed great courage recording a speech to share with the school our plan for poppy donations. Finally, a massive congratulations to everyone for their incredible effort fundraising for Cash4Kids. As a school we raised an amazing £4320.04 which landed us second place and an additional £2000.
