2017 This is the cover of the first issue of The New Yorker after the November 2016 election. Now it is 2017. May god (SHE) be the force behind us for speaking truth to falsehoods and false narratives from whatever source. We need now more than ever to call injustice when we see it, not to conform by not speaking up, but to advocate for truth. On a footnote, I will not be in Washington for any part of the day of the inauguration, rather in New York and taking the last train back arriving on Saturday for the Women’s March on Washington. We are the People, it is up to us to hold perceived authority to truth and public officials accountable as public servants to the public Trust.
