Scene #1Taj Mahal – Uttar Pradesh, India

SohCahToa Joe snuck past security at the world famous Taj Mahal mausoleum and stole one of the towering minarets! Carved into one of the pishtaqs, investigators found this note:

Greetings! This is your tour guide SohCahToa Joe and while I introduce a few sites, I’ll steal stuff. Sound good?First on the itinerary is one of the Wonders of the World and according to Wikipedia, a “jewel of Muslim art”… I love me some Wikipedia.I’m looking up to the top of the Taj Mahal at a 79.9° angle. Find the height of the Taj Mahal and round to the nearest foot. This value is H and is your first clue.

Scene #2 National Centre for Performing Arts – Mumbai, India

The largest theater in India was stunned to discover their entire prop room was ransacked. Although nearly everything was gone, SohCahToa left behind three wigs. Laying on top of the pile of wigs, investigators found this clue:

While I’ve already fled the scene, you can trust me when I say that I danced while I was here. Bollywood Style. In these three wigs. Solve the Bollywood Triple Feature to find another clue.

This value is M and is your second clue.

Scene #3Le Corbusier’s Open Hand Sculptures – Chandigarh, India

In a bizarre turn of events, SohCahToa Joe is suspected to have stolen 10 of India’s famous Open Hand Sculptures. How these sculptures play into the World Conquering Device is still unclear. Replacing one of the missing statues, investigators found a third clue from SohCahToa Joe:

Chandigarh is the richest city in all of India. Just like the Slumdog Millionaire, you can play “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” and by solving the three questions below, you could be rich! Just kidding… but it will lead you in the right direction as to who I am…

How many of these answers are “A”? (This number is A and is your third clue.)

Scene #4Aryabhata Skate Park – Delhi, India

It is believed that SohCahToa stole the three longest skateboard ramps from the Park. On the pavement, the following note was graffitied:

According to Wikipedia, this Aryabhata guy lived here a long time ago and thought up all of this Sine, Cosine and Tangent stuff. So let’s honor him through one of urban India’s newest pastimes. Skateboarding.

Two dudes were arguing here about which ramp is the best. They agree it’s whichever ramp is longer. Figure it out!

If the Cosine Ramp is longer, the value of J = -5. If the Sine Ramp is longer, the value of J = 5.

Scene #5Himalayas – Arunachal Pradesh, India

An avalanche was caused when SohCahToa Joe stole 750 pounds of Himalayan snow and six markhors. However, buried in the snow was this clue:

Even though they’re still growing (something called Plate Tectonics according to Wiki), I want to know how tall Mt. Everest is.

With an altitude of 40,000 feet, an airplane travels toward Mt. Everest with an angle of depression of 15 degrees. The plane travels at a speed of 853 ft/sec. 48 seconds later, the plane is directly above the summit.

How tall is Mt. Everest? Round your answer to the nearest foot. This value is T and is your fifth clue.

Scene #6Chenab River – Jammu and Kashmir, India

Engineers were bewildered to find 100 meters of their high speed rail was taken. Later, investigators were sent a cryptic text message.

According to Wikipedia, they are almost done with this bridge. It’ll be the highest rail bridge in the world. You better have good karma or there’s no way you’re going to catch me.

If you find can find the length of the bridge (and round your answer to the nearest meter), this value will equal L and will be your sixth clue.

Hugs and Kisses, SohCahToa Joe
