Chapter 1

Birth and Family

I was born on April 19, 2002 in YPK Mandiri Hospital Menteng, Central Jakarta. I was born

caesar at 5.00 am. The Doctor who helped me born in this world is Dr. Triyatmo and he still alive

until today. After I was born until I was a toddler, he always taking care of me. I always go for

check up and examined by him anytime I go to Hospital. The first country that I traveled is Malaysia

and Singapore. I went there when I was one years year old, when my mother was pregnant my

with my younger sister. I did not really remember those days when I was baby, cause as I remem-

ber I got my first memories since I was three years old.

My father name is Widjono Hardjanto and my mother name is Arlijanti Handayani. My

grandparents from my father are mixed marriage, my grandfather is Indonesian and my grand-

mother is Dutch (Netherland). My grandfather was a military officer. On the other side, my grand-

parents from my mother, they are has heredity from Pakubowono ancient Indonesian kingdom. My

grandfather has close-relation with Soeharto (Indonesian second president). My father graduated

from University of Indonesian school of Law. My mother graduated from University of Trisakti

school of Business. My family has very strong political nuances, because some of my uncle are of-

ficials in political party also in Government institution.

I am the third child in the family. I have two elder sisters and one younger sister. My first el-

der sister is 25 years old, my second elder sister is 23 years old and my youngest sister is 14 years

old. My young sister is the head of the middle school student council in Highscope. My first and

second sister have a big age gap ages with me, but me and my youngest sister are only difference

about two years old. That’s why I spend more time with my young sister and also always having

some slack with her too. But that’s just simple things not a big problem at all. I am kind of family

person, I love to spend time with my family. I like to discuss about politics with my parents because

my father is one of Head Chairman from Gerindra Political Party. My mom is also interested in poli-

tics, so I could share many things with both of my parents.

Most of my time I spend with my sister, especially my young sister. I went to many places

and try something new with her. I can share about my daily activities with her and she always give

me a lot of advice. I could share many things with her about my friendship, my problems in school

and others. In short, I am really close with my young sister. I have some childhood friends that still

close with me until now. One of my old friend that always be with me until today is Justin. He is a

student in Bina Nusantara School. His parents are best friend of my parents, that is why we are so

close and being friend since we were toddlers.

Since my first birthday my parents always celebrate my birthday with a special party. My

birthday party will be memories that I cant erase from my mind. In my birthday party I met many

friends for the very first time. I met with my parents relatives, friends and business partners that still

visit my house until now. My parents always keep good relations with people around them, and I

learn many things from them. Although they are not have any genetic relation with me but they are

so close like my own family.

I have some nurse, driver and nannies that still accompany my family since my parents

married until today. There is nannies that accompany my mother and my father since they are sin-

gle and live in my grandparents house. When my parents married, my father brought his own

nanny and also my mother brought her own nanny. They still loyal with our family until today. They

seem like our own family and always be with us anywhere we go somewhere. We have close rela-

tion with them and they also part of our family journey. They knew many things about my parents

story since they don't know each other, they start had date, they have relationship, they engaged,

they married and until they have children. I am so glad to have them in my family.

Those are the picture of me when I was baby, a few months after I born. The other one is

picture of my family. That is my mother, my father, two of my elder sister and my young sister. My

old family picture was take when we celebrate my young sister birthday party. At that time I was

about 4 years five years old. I think I have face that still look same since the day I was baby until

today, there is no significant changes in my face so far.

Chapter 2

The World I were Born Into

I born in 2002, at that time there is several big phenomenon in Indonesia. One of big phe-

nomenon happened is Bali bomb and Australia Embassy bomb. These two phenomenon made In-

donesian living on scare because that time many bombing attempt and terrorist issues being

something popular. I born In Jakarta, that time Jakarta being one of the place that had terrorist at-

tempt in many red zone point, especially central Jakarta and foreign countries embassy. My house

is around south Jakarta so it is not so gripping situation around me. My father is has close relation

with people in Parliament and Government, so there is some police guarding my house. I born in

situation when Indonesia still try to balance after big reformation phenomenon in 1998. A year be-

fore I born, in 2001 our president KH. Abdulrahman Wahid got impeached by upper house in Par-

liament. Political dynamical very up and down and Indonesia not really in stable condition. But for-

tunately nothing happen with my family although my family mostly are politician.

Both of my parents has Javanese blood. My Mother born in Jakarta but originally Java. My

Father in Netherland but has Javanese descent. Many times I go to Central Java because my fam-

ily has house there. One of the most big city in Central Java is D. I. Yogjakarta. D.I is mean

Daerah Istimewa or Special Region. They got Special Region status because Yogyakarta has

small kingdom inside the governmental area. In Yogyakarta we have regional government that

reigned by Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono. Technically, Yogyakarta has their own policies because

they have autonomy constitution. Yogyakarta under Central Government or RI authority but they

allowed to adding some regional policies that made by Kesultanan (small Kingdom in Yogyakarta).

My parents influenced by Central Java tradition thats why my house architecture using ja-

vanese tradition. Also in my family still use javanese local wisdom and norms as family rules. My

father collecting Keris (traditional javanese weapon) in my house. Many javanese attribute in my

house and also my whole family mostly speak javanese as well. And we know that all of Indonesia

Presidents is Javanese, and I am kind proud of it.

This is the picture of my house, I have been live there since I born to this world until

today. It seems like old house because yet it is old house that my parent have been living since

they married until today, which mean we have been living in this house around more than 25 years

old. We can see from the exterior design, my house use so many Javanese touch and accent. The

doors, windows and style of my house it so Javanese. This is because my parents still using and

keep the tradition from my grandparents.

Chapter 3

All About My Name

My name is Aryonarapati Bagaskoro Hadjanto. Aryonarapati mean pahlawan (knight),

Bagaskoro mean putra sang fajar (prince of morning) and Hadjanto is my father’s name. I born in

the morning and fajar mean early morning, that is why my name is Bagaskoro. My parents wants

me to be a hero that could helps Indonesia, that is why my name is Aryonarapati. So the whole

meaning of my name is The hero and prince who born in early morning. The one who give my

name is both of my parents but mostly from my father idea.

Dusk or early morning is the time when sun is starts to rising. That time people pray for new

hopes and dreams, they waiting for new changes in life. My name which mean prince of morning

means that I could be the new hopes. My parents hope that when I born it is time to rising up and

brings good changes in life. They pray that i would be something that people pray and wish for so

long because I will be someone who helps people one day.

I really like the meaning of my name. I feel powerful and feel loved anytime I remember the

meaning of my name. I realise that my parents wish that I could be someone that can helps people

and could bring new hopes for life. This is mean that my parents so proud of me and they love me

so much. They want me being someone very special not only for myself, my family but also for

many people around me. Anytime I feel down and upset with life, I feel recharge when I know that I

have to be what my parents wishing for through my name.

I think my name represent me well. I believe that I could be someone successful and will

help many people, especially Indonesian people one day. I very confident with my parents prayer

within my name. I feel like I bring my parents in everything that I did. That is why I want be some-

one good and always do something good to many people. I want start to help people, being polite,

respect everyone and bring good vibe to people around me.

I’m sure that one day the prayer within my name will be come true, I will be hero who fight

for help people. I will be a prince or someone who bring honour of family and nation. I feel proud of

my name and I like when people ask the meaning of my name, because it makes me feel sure to

reach my dream. In other side, I like my name because it really represent Indonesian name. My

parents loves Indonesia and proud of it so I represent my pride by using Indonesian name.

Chapter 4

Major Event

in My Life

On 2005 I join Early Childhood Education Program (ECEP) in Highscope Kuningan until

2008. My first toddler friend in ECEP is Basil, Ashana and Sarah J, they are in one classroom with

and also still being my friends until today. When I was toddler I always crying because I felt uncom-

fortable anytime I am at school. I always want go home and be accompanied by my parents. As I

remember many times I peed on myself and this is memorable memory because this is first time I

got scolded by teacher. I have my own psychology to accompany me when Im in school, she there

with me because I was being so hyperactive and kind like hard to handle by teacher. First time I

feel illness is when I was in ECEP. I got cough and flu that time. I was felt very suffering and I can-

not go to school. Fortunately I have my own nurse that accompany me when I feel sick and she

taking care of me while my parents was busy with their work.

When I was a child I learn how to do the basic skill needs such as talking, reading, writing

and counting. I remember first time I can talk is around three years old. After I learn talking, I learn

to reading book. The first book that I read is Three Little Pigs and Tom and Jerry. I like that book

because they have more picture than paragraph. Actually I feel hard to understand word that is

why I can read clearly and fluently in nine years old (around third grader). But the unique thing is I

can count when I was in second grader. So I can count first then I can read, while other children

mostly can read first then counting.

When I was in 4-5 grader I had very interesting memories. This is the first time I got crush

for someone. The one that I admire is my class mate, her name is Arsyla or people usually call her

Putri. I like her because she is so kind and pretty, I also admire her because she always does kind

thing to me. She is very nice person and has good personality, she is in same school with me until

middle school, but now she is moved to other school and I no longer see her.

My parents always celebrate me and my sisters birthday. But this is no longer happen to-

day because all of us is growing up and we only celebrate it with family dinner. When I was in ele-

mentary school many times I celebrate birthday in school with my teachers and my classmates. I

can playing with them all and share some cakes also toys for my birthday gift. In Indonesia we

have kind of unique tradition, which is who have birthday they will treat friends and I always do

that with my school mate and teachers.

This is picture when I had my 7th years birthday party celebration with my school friends

and teachers. In this pictures shows some of my friends that still in one school with me at Sekolah

Highscope Indonesia until today. I keep in contact with them and they still being very nice and

good friends. We keep talk each other and sometime saying greeting to one and another.

Chapter 5

My Role Model

I really like politics and my role model is Prabowo Subianto. He is so close with

my family, especially my father. He is like my own uncle because he also be the one

who give inspiration to my parents when they want give a name to me. Prabowo is

very strong and dedicated person, he also kind and polite. I know him since I was baby

until today and he never change even for little things. Prabowo teach me many things

about politics and he share some interesting stories too. He give many advices to me

and my young sister because both of us really like politics. Prabowo very great figure

in Indonesia, we know it that he has so many supporter when he was being one of

presidential candidate last 2014. Until today he still has many sympathiser that always

support and strengthen him in every condition. This is showing that he is a very love-

able figure and makes people admire him no matter bad news as hoax told about him.

I know some great figure that supported and encouraged by Prabowo, lets call

Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (popular as Ahok), Anies Baswedan and Sandiaga Uno (Gover-

nor and Vice Governor of DKI Jakarta). They used to be Gerindra cadres and Prabowo

brought them to the top then now people know him as great figure in Jakarta also

whole Indonesia. Prabowo always encourage great people around him to joint politics

because he believe that this nation could be saved by good people who dedicated,

honest and smart. I like how Prabowo support, encourage and teach people about how

to do good politics. I know outside there many negative issues tries to bring Prabowo

downs but the reality says he never be down because God knows he does anything

wholeheartedly and very compatible for his job.

I want to be one of Indonesian great politician that endorsed by Prabowo like

those people that I mentioned above. I want it because I believe that people who en-

dorsed by Prabowo is good people, if I being one of them it is shows that I am capable

and seen as good figure. I wish one day my dream will come true or even I could be

great like Prabowo who can bring Gerindra to the top and being one of great political

party in Indonesia.

Chapter 6

My Hobbies and Interest

My hobbies is Photography and traveling, my interest is I love to discuss about political and

history, because I love to discuss about it and I want to know many things about politics. I like to

learn and discuss about Indonesian history. For my hobbies, I like doing Photography because I

love to taking pictures both for outdoor or indoor object. I like photograph because we not only tak-

ing picture but in photography we also can discuss about what is the quality indicator of a photo ,

what is good event for taking pictures and how to measure the good angel before taking or captur-

ing moments. I like photography because it is related with my another hobby that is travelling. I like

traveling because I like to visit and see many countries. I interest to learn and understand about

new culture and how anthropology condition in a country. For me, traveling it is so fun, we can en-

joy new culinary, many places to play with others, I can see beautiful scenery like mountains,

beaches, and many popular landmark that related with history. I also love to learned about new

culture because it is fun and interesting to understand what other people do, is it different or same

with our own cultures.

Things that I like from my traveling hobby is I can learn new history and historical places. I

like to know other countries heritage by my self (not only by read it from book), that is one of the

reason why I like do traveling. In some leisure time, I like to doing some sports. Sports that I like

most to do is sea sport, I like snorkelling, beach volley and also swimming. I am not so good in

swimming but I love to see many creatures, fish and coral reefs under the sea.

Chapter 7

My Dreams andMe in 5 Years Later

Now I am around 16 years old, in 5 years means I will entering 20s. It could be very great

starting point in my life. I have to take many stepping stones and do it my best so I can reach and

achieve my dream to be politician. As my planning I want to continue my study in Political Science

major and I want to enrol some organisation related with politics. I want to be active in politics

events as many as I can so I could have many relation with great figures. I wish all the steps that I

have been plan from now on it could help me someday to being great politician like my role model,

Prabowo Subianto. I wish he would be one of my ad-

viser and I could learn more about politics from him. I

also no hesitate to ask many things to him since I be-

lieve he is very dedicated and has nationalism characteristic inside him, and this is quite similar like

my self.

This is the pictures of my sisters and me. Things that I promise to my self is I will not forget

them and I will not leave them no matter the situation is. I know my parents will not always be with

us because one day they will go to the mortality. But I will always be loyal to my family. I am the

only son and the only men figure for my sisters so I have to be someone that could protect them

even in many years ahead we have to stay together.
