The Seaside

Imagine you are at the seaside.

Can you write a seaside senses poem?

Maths: At Castle Academy, we follow the White Rose scheme of learning. During school closures White Rose maths have created free daily home learning lessons. These lessons include a daily video tutorial and then an activity sheet to complete. From now on Year 2 maths will be following the White Rose home learning lessons.

Because we haven't had the chance to complete all our Astrea Promise challenges yet, I will be setting challenges for you to complete at home over the next few weeks. Can you write a seaside acrostic poem?

You could use any words to do with the seaside eg. Sand, shells, waves etc.

Family Fun

This could be any activity of you having fun with your family. It could be baking, making something, playing in the garden, dancing and singing etc. If you could take some photographs I would love to see them.

Can you sort your list into things that are physical features eg. Things that are naturally occurring like cliffs and sand and things that are human features eg. Manmade like the pier and shops.

Find Your Fail

Think of one thing that you wish you were better at. This could be handwriting, reading, playing football, drawing etc. Could you spend some time every day practicing this skill? Take a photograph or video of you at the beginning of your challenge and one at the end. I would love to see your challenges.

complete. You don’t need to break the world record but you could try to break your own personal record. Some ideas are:
