U.S. Map poster with road trip route highlighted and numbers indicating stops along the way Rules : You must start on the West Coast and work your way to the East Coast Start in AK, WA, OR, or CA -------> End in Maine It is supposed to mimic a car ride, so your route should be continuous and moving forward little to no back-tracking...your trip should be somewhat realistic You CAN have more than one stop in the same city *You just need to be specific about why the different stops are significant to U.S. history You Must Visit: At least 2 places per unit studied ( 2 places x 9 units = 18 ) 12 additional places of your choice (monuments, National Parks, Capitals, major events, favorite or dream vacation spots/family heritage sites, etc.) TOTAL : 30 stops on your Travel Log and on your map ***Suggestion: Mark all the places you want to incorporate on your map with pencil numbers first (write down the name of the place next to its number on another sheet so you don’t forget as you go), figure out your starting point, mark your route along roads to hit all your points, then you can renumber/reorder your stops so they go in the actual order of your trip.
