Course Content

The definition of special education, basic principles related to special education, the importance of early diagnosis and treatment, historical approach to disabilities, the education and characteristics of mentally handicapped, hearing impaired, visually impaired, physical disabilities, language and communication disorders, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, autistic and gifted children, education of the children with development disorders, reactions from parents with children with disorders, special education status in our country, the institutions and organizations for these children.
