Name: DOB:

Me as a learner

In school, I try to learn as much as possible and work as hard as possible. I really enjoy a range of subjects including reading, maths, art and P.E. I really like sports my favourite sports are football, rugby, and 100m sprints. In the classroom I like to share ideas and do my best to answer questions. I feel the best part of school must be the friends you make in it.

My personal achievements and awards (in and out of school)

One of my most proudest achievements is my red black stripe in taek won do. I also am really proud of my goal on my debut for Leith athletics when we won 3-2.Another one is when I came first in the school sprint trials for the Interscholastics.

My hopes for Secondary School

My hopes for high school are to try my best get good grades and learn more things like history, science and more advanced maths. I also look forward to meeting new people and making new friends and keeping in touch with people from primary school.

Me in the future

I don’t have solid plans for the future. I would like to go to university and keep doing sports, maybe even professionally. All I can really say is I want to learn, progress, and reach my full potential with my learning

My Magic Moments in Primary School This year’s Christmas show because I got to

play this really pretentious snob called who thinks he has talent

Literacy and EnglishI absolutely adore reading, it’s a bit like an escape button or a chance to be someone you aren’t. I enjoy romance and adventure books, especially if they are set in a dystopian universe. I tend to read challenging books which leads to me having a fairly large and varied vocabulary. Whilst writing isn’t my favourite subject, once I start writing, it’s hard to stop. I would like to work on using more connectives.I am a good speller and tend to spell by sound.

Health and Well-beingI enjoy P.E and like to try new sports and games. I would like to work on my balance and speed.I know health and wellbeing is an important subject because it keeps me safe. I really liked ‘keeping my self-safe’ and our trip to the risk factory.

Numeracy and Mathematics

I really enjoy maths and look forward to it at school. Truth be told, it comes naturally to me and so it’s fun when a difficult question comes up. I like logical thinking because whilst it’s so simple, you have to think outside the box. I genuinely can’t wait to learn more. Some of my favourite parts of maths are fractions and decimals because they give you a new perspective on the size of numbers and are also very exact, however I also like prime numbers and multiples because they are ongoing and never ending, as is the maths universe itself.

Modern LanguagesIn my opinion Modern Languages is a subject that often relies on memory and good puzzle solving skills. What I mean by that is you have to find link words to understand the meanings, because most languages rely on root words. Luckily for me I have more words to link together than most other people because of my Polish heritage. I enjoy French and know my alphabet and numbers up to 59 in it. At primary I’ve been learning Italian, which means I haven’t done Spanish before. Even though it’s a bit scary and will be hard, I can’t wait.

Religious EducationReligious education is interesting because I get to find out about other religions and faiths. I enjoy reading the bible stories because they have good morals.

Expressive ArtsTruth be told I am a very dramatic and over-the-top person with a lot of confidence (in the best sense of all of those words.) I love theatre, new and old, with a passion.I like to think that I have a good sense of beat and an alright voice. I hope to learn to play the guitar in high school (or at least try.)

TechnologiesI.C.T is interesting because you get to work with computers and find out how they work and how to use them. Knowing how to use them is even more important in this current day and age because people are slowly transferring from working by putting pen to paper and handing it in, to typing, air-dropping and emailing. I have recently learnt how to use hyperlinks and I am getting better at using a computer on a daily basis.

ScienceI really like science. However, I don’t like the word science, it’s too general. It ranges from neuroscience to biology, and physics to engineering. I still don’t know very much about any of these subjects because primary school science is reflection and sound, however I know I’ll probably love it because it’s all so logical.

Social StudiesI enjoy social studies because instead of knowing everything about one thing, you get to know a lot about lots of things. Recently I’ve been learning about the ancient Greeks and have been finding it fascinating. I really like history and I know quite a lot about it because I used to spend my weekends reading ‘Horrible History’ books or watching the TV show.
