Sirumalai Evergreen Multipurpose Community Development Society – SIMCODESS

I. About the Organisation: SIMCODESS

Sirumalai Evergreen Multipurpose Community Development Society is registered Non Governmental Organisation working for the development of vulnerable communities for the past 27 years and in particular working girl children, child labour, young workers, destitute women, neglected elders, (Aged People) marginalized farmers, labourers and camp coolies. The programme intervention cover providing vocational skill training and employment for the rescued adolescent girls and young women. SIMCODESS is currently support 400 mill workers every year.

II. Project Location:

Since its inception from 1990, SIMCODESS is working in 84 villages in Aathur and Dindigul revenue blocks in Dindigul district in the state of Tamilnadu, India. The project location remains at southernmost state of India and remain 420 KMs from the state capital of Taminadu, Chennai and 60 KMs from Madurai. SIMCODESS works for the development of Dalits, Christian Dalit communities, Tribal and Economically Backward communities.
