III CERVANTES SYMPOSIUM OF THE NORTH EAST DECEMBER 7-8, 2017; QUEENS COLLEGE (CUNY) Persiles and all Atlantic Cervantes ¡Albricias, señores, albricias pido y albricias merezco! ¡Tierra! ¡Tierra! Aunque mejor diría ¡cielo!, ¡cielo!, porque sin duda estamos en el paraje de la famosa Lisboa. There is no escape: discussing the Mediterranean in Cervantes's oeuvre inevitably takes us to his own very real adventures and to his close entourage. By contrast, the commemoration of Persiles centennial in 2017 is the occasion to reflect on the same works from a different perspective: the presence of Atlantic and Northern Europe, where literature and imagination play a larger role as sources of inspiration. Queens College will host the III Cervantes Symposium of the North East, to discuss the wide topic Persiles and all Atlantic Cervantes. Proposals with other approaches to Cervantes will also be considered. Participants must be members of the CSA. For further information follow: https://iiicervantesne.wordpress.com/

III CERVANTES SYMPOSIUM OF THE NORTH EAST

DECEMBER 7-8, 2017; QUEENS COLLEGE (CUNY)

Persiles and all Atlantic Cervantes

¡Albricias, señores, albricias pido y albricias merezco! ¡Tierra! ¡Tierra! Aunque mejor diría ¡cielo!, ¡cielo!, porque sin duda estamos en el paraje de

la famosa Lisboa.
