We are all missing school and our friends.

Underneath your RE picture in your purple book, can you write a sentence about what you like doing with your friends?

It is National Numeracy Week. We have planned some fun activities you can take part in.You can still use mathletics and Numbots

Help an adult to make a cake or some biscuits. Your job is to help your grown up to measure out the ingredients. You can take a picture of this to show us. Most importantly, enjoy eating what you have made!

If you have the story ‘Room on the Broom’ by Julia Donaldson, read the story together. If you don’t have the story there is a link below (see bottom of document) which will take you to You Tube. Talk about the story.

Use the playdough that you brought home from school, or you could make your own (if you have flour!)Recipe is below.

Try doing Dough Disco. The link below is the moves for the days of the week.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovgPLvue164

You can also search Spread the Happiness on You Tube for other videos.

Or you can even make your own Dough Disco with the moves that you know. Add this to Tapestry for your teacher to see!

Play the game above. Listen to the word and then choose the picture that rhymes with the word.

Challenge: can you think of other words that rhyme?

Play some fun counting games using the link below. What was your favourite game?

https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/3-5-years/counting

Listen to or read the story from yesterday. Together with your adult can you think of the rhyming words that are used in the story before they are said or before you say them.

At the beginning of the year you drew a picture of yourself. The picture was so brilliant that the teachers put them on display.

Your challenge today is to draw yourself. Have a good look in the mirror – look at your face. What can you see?Look where your arms are? Please share these pictures with your teacher.

Cut out the pictures at the bottom about how the children are behaving. Choose one picture at a time and decide – are they being a good friend or a bad friend? Ask your adult to split your page in half and label each side as ‘good friend’ or ‘bad friend’. Then stick the pictures in your book in the right place.

Can you make your own broomstick? You could use natural material or you could use a kitchen roll. There are some ideas to help you at the bottom of the page.

Think about the friends you drew on Monday. What makes them good friends? Are they kind? Helpful? Honest? What does it mean to be a good friend? Talk about this with your grown up.

Pretend that you are going to make a magic potion to make your broomstick fly. Draw the outline of a witches cauldron. Then inside the cauldron:

You can draw pictures of things which you would put in the potion.

Or you could write a list of things to put into the potion.

Use old plastic bottles to make skittles. Write a number on each skittle. How many can you knock over with one go? Add up the your score.

Watch and listen to CbeebiesThe Elephant and the Mouse(see below for link)

If you are able to:Make a magic potion.

You could just put some things that you find in the house and put them in a bowl and mix it together.

Or on your daily exercise you could find things outside and collect them to make a magic potion on your return home.

Write a recipe for a great friend! Think about what makes a good friend (kindness, makes you laugh, gives hugs, plays with you, shares, smiles…). Write them as ingredients into a recipe. E.g. 1 spoon of love, 2 scoops of smiles, 1 sprinkle of jokes…Complete in book or on template stuck in. See below for template.
