The skills I have learned:To take the photos with aperture which controls depth-of-field for example in my collaboration of photos I used a little of depth-of-field because I didn’t want the background dominating with the phone in hand as that’s why I mainly focused on the phone as that’s what I am advertising. For the horror shots we used colour gels that we put on the camera lens for it to give it a dark, goory effect.I learned how to use LightRoom to edit the photos by adjusting the exposure, contrast and vibrancy mainly to give it a dark mood.

Identifying new skills you have achieved:Using the studio flash, colour gels and continuous lighting,Using the effect Rule-of-thirds on my own photos with a grid.Changing the settings on the Camera to adjust the aperture controlling the depth-of-field, the lower the number is the bigger the DOF is but the bigger the number is the lower the DOF is.Fashion and Sports photography they don’t use a lot of depth-of-field because they mainly focus on the people instead of worrying about the background but as for Architects, which are photographing buildings, they use Depth-of-field as they focus on the whole photo and aren’t concerned about blurring anything out because they take landscaped photography. -They generally take Exterior architectural photography usually taking with available daylight, or if performed at night by using ambient light from streetlights, landscape lights, and building lights.

Identifying techniques that you found easy:Using the camera manually/automatically for the focus, adjusting the settings for each photo for the depth-of-field. Using Photoshop to change the background of my photo, editing on LightRoom and being able to take photos with continuous lighting.

Identifying techniques that you found hard:By using Photoshop to crop phone in hand from the green screen, as I couldn’t just remove the background because the colour didn’t match, it made it more difficult to remove it as a whole so instead I just cropped the phone in hand out and added it to the background.

What has been successful about my final shots?The camera focussed on the phone, which is what I personally wanted as I wanted a blurry effect so a lot of aperture was used.On my final shot I used Depth-of-field to focus on my phone and making the background fuzzy as I am advertising the phone and applications which is the main reason the screen is sharp.

How I met my expectations:I met my expectations by taking a lot of photos to get the perfect one as some of them came out pretty blurry which was not how I wanted my photo to look so, after I got my final shot I used Photoshop to edit the background onto it, and whatever I expected to do in my pitch was accomplished.

Things that I might have to do to make it better:Instead of getting photos of the Internet and photoshopping it onto the photo, perhaps actually take the photo, which meant personally going to the location and taking it.
