The model

What I’ll need;

· Plasticine - £2 per block (x3)

· Toy car (wheels)

· Sculpting tools

· Wire - £3.50

· Cardboard box

· Paint

How I made my model;

· Using a toy car, I separated the top and bottom, since I only need wheels for my model. I used an old toy car that belonged to my little brother, with his permission.

· Then tear the wheels apart to use the chose set of wheel.

· Mould plasticine around the model, to make the edges softer

· Continue adding plasticine to make the body, following the same process as the prototype

· Once I’m happy with the body shape, mould a rough head shape, I’ll need two different heads for my animation

· Using the small cardboard, disconnect all the tabs and paint the box black, brown and red

· When that dries, connect the tabs together again and place all the props in there for storage.

· Going back to plasticine, make a second head, insuring there identical

· Model two arms using plasticine

· Sculpt the faces onto both heads, one expression sad, the other happy.

· Then fill in the face using black paint

My final character;

I ended up not using any wires for my character’s skeleton, this was due to my character not actually needing a skeleton, or wires to weigh it down and keep it balanced. Instead I used a small amount of wire to attach the neck to the head. I also used smalls wires to attach the arms, so it’ll be easier to moving them up and down.
