Hello,

We can’t believe that we're nearly half way through the spring term already! Welcome to our new children and parents this term. Thanks so much for taking the time to read our informative newsletter, we know your all busy.

Welcome – Important Info

For those of you that are new to our club, we open 8:00am until 6:00pm. We eat lunch around 12:30 and ask that you provide a packed lunch. Healthy snacks and drinks will always be provided at Holiday Zone. Booking and payment needs to be made in advance either by email or phone. An invoice will be emailed to your chosen address. Please send your children in comfortable clothing and shoes, along with spare clothes, sun hat, rain coat or warm coat weather dependant. Each day is planned with lots of activities to choose from including arts & crafts, sports, dance, role-play, electronics station and much more. The children thrive off our routine but also have the opportunity for free play with their friends. We organise fully planned, and risk assessed trips away from the setting either once or twice a week. These must be booked in advance as we have limited spaces, and they always prove very popular with the children. They are at an additional cost but are optional, the fee charged only cover travel, entry costs and extra staff.. The day runs exactly the same at the setting. Ashdene Primary School, Welcomes HZ!

We are very excited to be opening our second setting at Ashdene Primary School Wilmslow, the week commencing 19th Feb. Our club will open as usual at WPS week commencing 12th. We will be registered under our usual Ofsted registration number EY467608, ofsted have been notified of the setting change for that week, and the facilities have been fully risk assessed. Ashdene Primary School is a wonderful setting; we have the use of the hall, library, staff room, meeting room and the fabulous outdoor space. Children from all schools are welcome to attend. PLEASE NOTE-THE SIDE GATES WILL BE LOCKED. PLEASE USE THE MAIN ENTRANCE!!!

Feb Half Term – Funtastic February!

We have a fun filled week planned for both settings. Stretch & Grow are visiting each setting with their new All Star sports workshop. Mark Lynch fitness is trialling his new kidz bootcamp session at Ashdene Thursday 22nd. We are also very excited to celebrate Valentines Day and Chinese New Year, with various craft sessions supported by learning! We have attached our activity plan for each week. This can also be found on our website.

Trips

We are off to Wacky Warehouse Tuesday 13th Feb at a cost of £11.00. This will include a party lunch. The week after we’re visiting Lego Land Discovery Centre at a cost of £30. We are aware that this is an expensive trip, however this includes admission and travel via a third party coach. We will run on a ration of 1:4. For those of you that have recently joined the club, or aren't aware that we venture out on day trips. Trips are mainly on Wednesday & Thursday and fully risk assessed. Most trips will be age appropriate, please check this before booking a space for your child. The trips are optional and incur a charge to cover the cost of travel, extra staff, tickets etc. Unfortunately there are limited spaces for most trips and are booked on a first come first served basis. They will be advertised on our website, at the club when open and in our parent newsletter.

Nut Allergy

We have a number of children who join us at our club, who have a severe nut allergy. Please can I remind parents that we are nut free setting! This includes Nutella, any chocolate spread, snickers etc. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Donna Higgins – Playworker NVQ L3 Childcare (Full paediatric first aid)

Olivia Hall- Playworker – Taking a gap year (Has 3 sisters and is a fantastic babysitter) just completed her playworker CDP accredited course

Naomi Hall – Playworker – 6th form student at Wilmslow High School – just completed her playworker cpd accredited course

Millie Gleeson- Welcome back Millie. She is teacher qualified. She loves children that much that she has asked to work for us over the holidays.

Natalie Garbutt – Natalie G is what we call a supermum. Not only does she have 3 children, training to be a personal trainer, volunteres at christies, she now wishes to work with your lovely children. Lookijg forward to working with her this Feb half term.
