MAIN PURPOSE OF POST

issues which arise · Building strong relationships with internal and external project stakeholders· Supporting the delivery of effective project meetings.· Producing/updating timely and accurate project reports and monitoring

information· Act as a key point of contact for projects for members of the project team,

other colleagues and external stakeholders. Using a range of techniques, facilitate effective communication with and between

members of the project teams to facilitate progress within the project. Ensure regular and effective communicate with delivery partners, making sure that

they are aware of their commitments and that these commitments are reflected in project plans and they are fully briefed as plans evolve.

Work with senior leaders to produce dashboards and monitoring information to monitor progress against delivery of our strategy and annual budget and business plans.

Support the fundraising team in the development of bids – including supporting the development of project briefs and resource and budget requirements from a project management perspective.

Support the Heads of Finance and Fundraising to complete essential financial and operational reporting as required.

Support EMT project delivery Ensure that any information shared whilst performing these duties is in line with

Women’s Aid’s data storage and collection protocols. Ensure all work aligns with and represents the values and ethos of Women’s Aid.

General Responsibilities To monitor, evaluate and report on the impact of work undertaken. To keep the EMT and other relevant staff up to date on all project delivery

progress and issues through regular internal briefings. To recruit, line manage and provide effective supervision, appraisal and

professional development to allocated team members. To ensure the proper management of any project budgets and participate in

financial management and reporting at departmental level as required. To maintain clear and adequate records of work done and to produce reports on

work programmes and activities as required. To take direction on priorities from your line manager, which may vary from

time to time. To carry out word-processing, filing, and administrative tasks necessary to

comply with the job description. To abide by all organisational policies, codes of conduct and practice, and to

work within a framework of equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practice. To be flexible within the broad remit of the post.

Other This job may require travel across England, and occasional unsocial hours.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Projects and Partnership Manager

EXPERIENCEEssential:

Substantial proven experience in project planning and execution, monitoring and reporting on progress, and achievement of objectives.

Experience of overseeing complex projects with multiple stakeholders within set timeframes.

Experience of negotiating contracts and/or delivery plans with stakeholders. Extensive experience of writing and producing briefings and reports for a

range of audiences. Experience of line management and supporting others to deliver against

project plans. Experience of managing large and complex budgets.

Desirable: Experience of planning and delivering projects for social change, with

evaluation and learning is a key component. Experience of project management work in a similar not for profit setting.

SKILLS & ABILITIESEssential:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills at a variety of levels to a wide range of audiences.

Ability to plan and deliver projects within a set timeframe and with clear outputs/outcomes.

Skilled at negotiation at a strategic and operational level to achieve positive outcomes and in managing internal and external relationships.

Ability to be flexible and ensure project structures meet the needs of the organisation

Demonstrable ability to identify and manage project based risk and other issues.

Ability to work on own initiative to meet objectives in a complex, changing environment.

Computer literate and proficient in word-processing, spreadsheets and databases, email and Website technology, preferably in a Windows based environment.

Demonstrable ability to become rapidly familiar with a complex operating environment and the perspectives and roles of a highly varied group of stakeholders, from service users to funders.

Self-motivated with a demonstrable ability to motivate others.

Desirable Ability to support and guide colleagues with little project management

experience and organisation wide strategic planning.

KNOWLEDGEEssential:

A basic understanding of the experiences and needs of women and children affected by gender based violence.

An understanding of the role and work of Women’s Aid. Knowledge of Agile principles and frameworks. An understanding of contract management and partnership working and the

measures required to make this successful.

Desirable An understanding of the role of Women’s Aid’s member services.

EDUCATION/TRAININGEssential:

Training in project management

Desirable Training in Agile Project Management.
