Considering the potential of Iron and Steel in India and the experience gained by the group in this sector, M/s Maruti Ferrous Pvt Ltd (MFPL) hasinstall TMT Rolling Mill Unit with an installed capacity of 60000 MTPA at Siltara Industrial Area , Phase II, Gram Sondra Raipur in the state of Chhattisgarh.

In hot rolling mills the demands on mill profitability, productivity and product quality are on the rise. Thickness tolerance are decreasing while surface quality must further improve. At a same time mill flexibility has to match the growing verity of products, while high mill productivity is a key issue to remaining competitive in the global economy. Steel quality and mill throughput are influence by various factors such as mechanical design, electrical by hydraulic equipment and auxiliaries supplies and control strategy. The many associated variables have to be tightly

controlled to meet product quality targets. The entire control process into extreme parameter range.

To be able to control such a large and complex plant and meet the high demands on process speed and product quality a powerful controller is needed to handle all required function and advance sophisticated control system.

This approach has to cover- Mechanical and hydraulic systems. Drive train. Material Flow. Visualization and control system. Technological control. Supervision and diagnosis solution.

About The Group of Company

MARUTI GROUP established Shri Nawal Kishor Khetan , Shri Rajesh Tola & Shri Ashok Choudhary over a decade ago in 2005 at Raipur in C.G. First established in 2005 is MARUTI FERROUS PVT LTD (MFPL) is also the flagship company of the group. The vision of starting this unit was to become India leading business house in steel sector to convert this vision to reality we had started a chain of expansion:-

In 2005 we have established “Maruti Ferrous Pvt. Ltd (MFPL)” as a casting unit.

In 2007 we have purchased “HSR Re-Rollers Pvt Ltd” for structural Product like MS Angle, MS Flat, MS Round and MS Square in Various sizes.

In 2010 we done expansion in MFPL and installed a Rolling Mill for TMT Bars Manufacturing with 60000/MTPA capacity.

In 2010 we have further expand in MFPL (Can say Backward Integration) we had acquired “GHANKUN STEEL PVT. LTD.”

In 2015 we have started installation of Power Plant Unit in “GHANKUN “with capacity of 9.5 MW.

MILL OPERATION:

TYPE OF MILL :

Center fixed, Fiber-Bearing Cold water lubrication, continues type mill.

FEEDING TO STANDS :Hot stock is shifted through Tilting Tables, Roller conveyors, Roller Tables and Side shifters.

DE-SCALING :Automatic de-scaling arrangements through circulatory motion of water jets on Hot Rolling stock and passing through roller table having rollers of various diameters have been

made in between Continuous caster Machine (CCM) and initial roughing stand.

CAPACITY :The mill has an installed capacity to roll about 25 M.T. per Hour of Rolling stock through various stands.

The Quality control Measures Adopted As per QAP – Quality Assurance PlanInput – Raw Material Components Test.Process - QC Check During Manufacturing Process.Output - Final Inspection before offering the material to Purchaser and acceptance test.Chemical Laboratory A full-fledged laboratory within the premises of the plant is set-up having facilities to determine every elements like Carbon, Manganese, Sulphur, phosphorus, Silicon etc. as per requirement of relevant BIS and other standards. Determination of elements are being done by volumetric test i.e. Titration method. The Plant can also undertake elementary testing by Spectro Analysis from outside source.

Mechanical Testing

Universal testing Machine (Tensile Testing Machine) of 100Kn. capacities with calibration up-to-date has been commissioned for determination of tensile strength, yield stress and percentage of elongation. With the help of this machine, one can hold bend test with required sizes of Mandrels.

Quality Assurance

This unit has established its Quality Assurance Plan and in practice for strict/ rigid on – line stage inspection, sampling and testing is to be done as per Scheme of Testing under qualified technical staff.

Highly qualified and renowned persons are associated with this unit having track record experience in the field of structural Re-rolling Mill for ensuring quality product.

Quality

Since the mill is fully-automatic and on fibre bearing, the finishing time is reduced considerably so as to maintain material temperature at finishing stage (800-825 degree centigrade) in avoidance of defamation. Speedy finish enhancing the surface finish and ensuring quality products.

Fixed Length

Since no man power is involved during the stage of production, the handling of bigger and heavier pieces for rolling possess no problem offering fix –length to consumers thereby, reducing wastage to the end-users.

Source of Raw – Material

Billet with confirmed chemistry as per relevant specification are being mainly procured from Prime Producers so that finished products would conform to the required standard and to meet costumer’s need.
