Mobile Usage Instructions for Bidding for Good

- Open your Internet browser app (e.g. Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.)- Go to www.biddingforgood.com/had2017

Finding Our Auction and Logging In:

- Click “Login”

- Input Username and Password and click “Login”

- Note: If you forget your password, click “Forgot Password,” input your email,and Bidding for Good will sendyou a link to reset it.

- Once you have logged in, click “Add to My Auctions”

- Note: From now on, our auction is saved in “My Auctions.” You simply click “More” (top right corner), then click “My Auctions” and you will find it again.

Note: At any point, if you want to go back to the first page in our auction, simply click on “Home” (top left).

Searching for an Item:

- The easiest way to find a specific item is to search the item number in the area indicated.

- You can also search the title of the item in the same area.

- Note: The item number and title are written on the signs in front of each item.

- In the same box, you can search any word, and all items that have your search either in the title or the description will come up. For example, on the right is what happens if I search the word “chocolate.”

Browsing Items:

- Click “Browse Items”

- You will see all of our categories on the next page. Click whichever one you want.

- For example, the far right is what you would see if you clicked “Food & Gourmet Items”

As you click on items, you will become familiar with what each item page looks like. Each item will have a title, image (if the image doesn’t come up, click “Show Item Image”), the leading bidder, an area to bid (covered below), the item’s value, the description, special notes, and the donor.

To make things easier for yourself, you can add an item to “My Items”:

- Simply click on the item you want and scroll down until you see “Add to My Items”

- Click “Add to My Items”

- Note: From now on, that item is saved in “My Items.” You simply click “More” (top right corner), then click “My Items” and you will find them again.

Bidding:

We have two different kinds of items. Those in the Silent Auction available to bid on, and those on our Gift Card Wall available for purchase.

For items on our Gift Card Wall, they are “Buy it Now” only items. When you choose a “Buy it Now” only item, you will see the following page:

- The value is displayed on the page right above where you would bid.

- To buy it, simply click “Buy Now” and it is yours!

For items in the Silent Auction, they are available to be bid on. The process is very similar to bidding on a bid sheet. When you choose an item that is available to bid on, you will see the following page:

- The next minimum bid will be indicated right above where you would bid.

- You then input the amount you want to bid, and choose the option “Bid Exactly This Amount.”

- Click “Place Bid” and you will have bid on the item!

One of the most exciting feature of Bidding for Good is the ability to set a maximum bid:

- Open the item the same as you would as you are bidding normally.

- Input the amount you want as your maximum bid.

- Choose “Bid Up to This Amount”

This means that Bidding for Good will automatically bid for you when you get outbid for that item (at the normal increments) until the bid reaches your previously input maximum amount.

If the bids reach your maximum amount, you will get either an email or a text message (depending on your settings) letting you know that your maximum bid has been surpassed. You can then go back and input another maximum amount (if you want).

Note: Nobody can see if there is a maximum bid placed on an item. So this is a fun way to guarantee you get an item.

Winning an Item:

Once you have won an item, you will receive an email confirming your victory! (This email won’t come until the auction closes at 7:00 PM on November 3rd.)
