By age 15 the parent-child relationship is more important in predicting behavior problems than any other.

We need parents to help eliminate bully behaviors

Kids need quality time with their parents

o Victims are more likely to tell their parents about being bullied than they are to tell a teacher

o Parents have conversations about being bullied, but rarely talk about being the bully

o Children more involved in making decisions have less aggression towards their peers

o Bullies are more likely to be youth who spend more time without adult supervision

o A shaky bond with parents may cause a child to react aggressively toward peers
