DAY TWO (Sunday, September 29th 2019)

Activity 1 - the energizer

Activity 2 - Selfdiscipline and willpower - knowing the terms Some of us didn’t think that there is and which is the difference between the terms self-discipline and willpower. Luka explained it that there is a difference, and what kind of difference, in a very simple and memorable way.

Activity 3 - Self-discipline and willpower We had to draw our association on willpower and discuss our drawing and ideas in smaller groups. I drew a letter w in a shape of an arrow because the willpower directs us in a certain direction. Then I imagined the part inside to be a head of a piranha fish with strong teeth, because our

willpower has to “bite” into various problems we are faced to. Goran drew the three christian virtues: love, hope and faith, which he believes are connected to our willpower. The last task of the small group was to decide what is mutual to all our associations and definitions, and to present everything in front of other participants.

Activity 4 - After lunch we had a possibility to choose among a few activities. Some of the most adventurous participants thought about kayaking to Rajgrod, but as it was windy, so they decided to go to Rajgrod on foot. Darina, Goran and Damjan also went on foot. Monica was kind to offer to drive us to Rajgrod, and I decided to go with her. We took Nikolina, Matea and Anastasia. Our group finished all the tasks we were given:

Task four: Learn how to say hello, welcome and thank you in Polish:

Task five: Speak with three locals about Erasmus+ (record a video):

Task six for the extra points: find Agata at the balcony in Rajgrod: We couldn’t have done this if there was no Monica, because she knew which house that would have been. Also, Agata saved us all from the heavy rain which had started at that moment.

At her home we saw Paula and Paula’s grandmother. We were hosted with loth of kindness. We were served a hot coffee and a special polish liqueur with spices which made us feel warmer after we got wet from the rain. To show the appreciation to the grandma, I gave her the only thing I had with me, a bag of pretzels.
