WALT: write a diary entry based on a historical event
Victory in Europe Day, generally known as VE Day or V-E Day, is a day celebrating the formal acceptance by the Allies of World War II of Nazi Germany's unconditional surrender of its armed forces on 8 May 1945.This year marks 75 years since the end of WW2, and in honour of that our May bank holiday has been moved to Friday 8th May from Monday 4th May.
You might need to do some research into some of these words before you write your diary entry.
