Dear Members,Membership in the Holy Name Society is open to practicing Catholics, men and women, over the age of 18. Our goal is to promote the name of God, (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), through acts of Prayer, Learning, Unity and Service. (P-L-U-S) If you are married, have children and/or catholic friends over the age of 18 please invite them to attend a few of our meetings to see if they might be interested in becoming members.Speaking of “PLUS,” a great way to participate in all four of these areas, would be to join the ministry of “Sacristan!” We are currently in the process of promoting this ministry. It consists of preparing the church for Mass, making sure everything is in place and ready for the celebration of the Mass on Sundays and Weekdays. If you are available to help with this ministry, PLEASE contact myself (tpmcyd@windstream.net or (724) 327-4577) or Randy Duva (rduva@verizon.net or (412) 638-1605). We are in need of at least two people, a primary person and a back-up, to be available for each Mass. It would consist of arriving 15-20 minutes prior to the beginning of Mass and then a few extra minutes afterwards.Dues were due by the end of December. Thank you.Our Lady of Joy Church is in need of someone to coordinate the yearly men’s retreat at St. Paul’s Seminary. If interested, please let me know.As noted below, “Praise Nation” is coming to our grouping in November. Praise Nation is also conducting a “Festival of Praise” on January 11th at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin on Saturday, January 11th.
