ACTIVITY DAILY LIVING (ADL)
Activities of daily living are
necessary for survival, it include
tasks that we undertake every day of
our lives in order to maintain our
level of care such as :
Feeding
Dressing
Toileting
Grooming
Transferring
Mobilising
FEEDINGGROOMING
TOILETING
DRESSING MOBILISING
TRANSFERING

managing daily life, based on
the person’s physical, social
and psychological needs.
FLOW OF TREATMENT
Assess patient in ADL-Modified Bathel Index (MBI)
Give treatment to patient based on their area of impaired
Re- assess patient (using MBI)*To see whether patient has
improvement or not
Evaluation or assessment is the first step in the occupational therapy programme. The therapist assesses the performance skills in daily life activities, assesses general physical and cognitive abilities. Therapist also discusses personal goals and may assess the home to evaluate the potential need for modifications
ADL training will be teach to patient.Therapist will suggest modification or adaptation to patient.Then after few month, re-assess the patient condition.It is to see whether patient condition is improve or not.
