2017 ANNUAL REPORT

CEO + BOARD CHAIR MESSAGE

D’ANDRE D. LAMPKIN FOUNDATION 2017 ANNUAL REPORT | 2

2017 was the year we formed the D’Andre D. Lampkin Foundation. We learned a great deal about what it truly means to be present for communities in need. We read stories, listened, and tackled the issues that matter to you. It is our hope that as the Foundation grows we become more effective in empowering people to positively change their communities.

It is gratifying to know that we have your support. As we work to develop and participate in projects and initiatives that impact and benefit the largest number of people in a region in the largest way possible, we hope you will continue to stay active and involved. We use the 2017 Annual Report as a way to celebrate our successes, donors, and supporters; and highlight areas where we could improve, along with charting the path for the Foundation’s future.

Progress doesn’t come easy, and it doesn’t always follow a straight line, but I seriously believe that the history of this organization will move in the direction of stronger communities, healthier lives, and common good – not because it’s inevitable, but because supporters like you believe we should never take the sacrifices of others lightly. We must ask more of ourselves to have a better tomorrow. That is why we hope you stay engaged.

On behalf of the communities and families we serve, we express our gratitude.

Sincerely,

D’Andre LampkinBoard Chair and CEO

Jesus Andrade, IIIExecutive Director

Thank you to the D’Andre D. Lampkin Foundation for your donation of solar lights to the victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. We appreciate your trust in us as we try to go to the most remote areas to deliver the lights and aid the people in places that need it most – and with a big hug of love.

The solar lights were distributed in Hong Kong, Rio Grande, Morovis and Ciales, Puerto Rico. We will be back soon with more.

Sincerely,

Dr. Alison ThompsonGlobal Empowerment MovementThird Wave Volunteers

Thank youRemember when I shared my story with you in September following the landfall of Hurricane Harvey? Well, I'm happy to inform you that Houston, Texas is on the rebound, and the D'Andre D. Lampkin Foundation played a significant role in rebuilding my community.

During times of need you really don’t know who will show up and help until that time comes. The D'Andre D. Lampkin Foundation has proven that there are people around the world who are generous, about action, and most of all -- giving. It meant a lot to know that representatives from the D'Andre D. Lampkin foundation traveled to Houston during a time of devastation to show love and support when it was least expected.

The D'Andre D. Lampkin Foundation showed empathy for the city of Houston. Words can never express the love and appreciation that I have for the Foundation. Their generosity, dedication -- and most of all, the love that was shown during Hurricane Harvey was beyond amazing.

Dear St. John Family,

This is a letter of appreciation to express thanks and gratitude to all of you who came to the aid of our Mission to supply usable, useful, needed clean, almost new, and new pieces of clothing to provide help and assistance to the Disaster Survivors in Puerto, Rico.

We were blessed to receive the type of shoes the Puerto Rico survivors wear, as well as clothing for boy and girl infants, young adults, men and women of all ages. And a very special thank you to all the volunteers who showed up and gave tirelessly of their valuable time to get the 16 boxes organized and prepared for pick up.

We praise God for having the direly needed assistance from the D’Andre D. Lampkin Foundation. D’Andre, the Board Chair, provided guidance and inspiration.

This was a blessed love-in-action initiative performed by the people of God for God’s people.
