Bunny Room
This week in the baby room we will be celebrating lots of different
cultural beliefs and various eras of music.
We know how much the babies love music so we want them to
express themselves and dance to every kind of music. We will be
listening to different music from different countries around the
world.
Song of the Week:

This week our Tigers will be learning about different cultures, customs from all over the world.
They will be practicing their counting skills while counting

Reception open days
We realise the summer holidays
have only just ended, however it is
time to start thinking about
reception classes for those
children born between
1st September 2015 and 31st
August 2016.
St Mary’s school will be having
their open days on the following
dates:-
Monday 23rd September at 10am Monday 14th October at 10am
Saturday 16th November at 9.30am
Monday 9th December at 6pm Monday 13th January 2020 at
10am.
There is no need to book - just turn up at whichever session suits
best. Children are also welcome to
come along for the visit.
Tapestry
Tapestry builds a very special journal of a child’s experiences and journey through their early years. St Mary’s nursery use tapestry to
show you photos, videos and observations added by the staff
here at nursery. Parents and carers too can add things to tapestry.
This enables these memories to be kept as a permanent record of each
unique life. The communication between staff and parents that Tapestry enables, helps build a
shared understanding of how every child can reach their full potential.
We have noticed that many parents
have never logged onto tapestry, therefor are missing out on these fabulous observations. We have
resent activation emails this afternoon to all those not yet
registered. Please note this invite may go into your junk folder so
keep a look out. You can download a tapestry app onto your phones and tablets or
simply visit the website

Food from home We would like to remind parents that children
should not be coming to nursery with food
from home.
We have children who have very severe
allergies and different food intolerances who
are attending our nursery.
As a nursery we do our best to meet all the
children’s needs and dietary requirements to
ensure their wellbeing is met. Your cooperation
in this matter would continue to help us in
doing so.
If your child comes into nursery and has missed breakfast, we have a variety of fruits,
some milk and toast to offer them before snack
time.
Toys from home
Please can we ask that toys from home
are not brought to nursery. We have had
a few instances this week when children
have brought small toys into nursery, they
have been misplaced or other children
have taken them to play with as they are
extremely interesting and fun, but this has
caused upset to the owner of the toy. Of
course we are happy for
comforters/teddies to be brought in.
Staff Holidays
Milena from Pandas is away Monday – Wednesday.
Kamer from Tigers is on holiday
this week.
Fahima from Bunnies is on holiday this week.
Veronica from Bunnies is on
holiday Friday this week
Remember to let us know of any holidays you are planning over
the summer so we can update our records.
