Tapestry

Tapestry builds a very special journal of a child’s experiences and journey through their early years. St Mary’s nursery use tapestry to

show you photos, videos and observations added by the staff

here at nursery. Parents and carers too can add things to tapestry.

This enables these memories to be kept as a permanent record of each

unique life. The communication between staff and parents that Tapestry enables, helps build a

shared understanding of how every child can reach their full potential.

We have noticed that many parents

have never logged onto tapestry, therefor are missing out on these fabulous observations. We have

resent activation emails this afternoon to all those not yet

registered. Please note this invite may go into your junk folder so

keep a look out. You can download a tapestry app onto your phones and tablets or

Food from home We would like to remind parents that children

should not be coming to nursery with food

from home.

We have children who have very severe

allergies and different food intolerances who

are attending our nursery.

As a nursery we do our best to meet all the

children’s needs and dietary requirements to

ensure their wellbeing is met. Your cooperation

in this matter would continue to help us in

doing so.

If your child comes into nursery and has missed breakfast, we have a variety of fruits,

some milk and toast to offer them before snack

time.

Toys from home

Please can we ask that toys from home

are not brought to nursery. We have had

a few instances this week when children

have brought small toys into nursery, they

have been misplaced or other children

have taken them to play with as they are

extremely interesting and fun, but this has

caused upset to the owner of the toy. Of

course we are happy for

comforters/teddies to be brought in.
