Winter Break – The school will be closed for winter break from December 25th – January 5th. School will re-open on January 8th

, 2018

For the month of November we held our annual food drive for the Surrey Food Bank. Thanks to all of your generosity over 1000 items were

donated! Congratulations to Mrs. Khela’s 1C and Ms. Kaur’s 5B for bringing in the most donations per student! E-Newsletter – Please feel free to download the newsletter from our website (www.gadschool.com) and please make sure your email is up to date with the office as we send an email notification when the newsletter is ready for download. If you do require a printed newsletter, please notify the office in writing. Please check in with our website regularly for all current/updated information. Kindergarten Registration 2017 – 2018: Admissions to kindergarten for the year 2017-2018 are now open. If you have or know of a child who will be five years old by December 31, 2017, please contact the school as soon as possible to book a tour and/or reserve your spot for next year. Student of the Month – Each month the teachers pick one student that they believe went above and beyond in the classroom. Congratulations to this month’s winners! Keep up the great work! School Garden initiative – Grade 8’s are starting a school garden to promote healthy eating habits. This garden will also serve as an outdoor classroom for all grades as it will enhance learning for all students by providing different learning centers. This program is sponsored by B.C. Agriculture in the Classroom. A reminder to parents - please make sure your children come to school in their proper uniform. Also, since the weather is getting cold and icy, please walk your children to the building when you drop them off as the sidewalks and parking lot can be slippery and icy. After school clubs – The final day of afterschool clubs is Friday, December 15th. Information about clubs for term 2 will come in the new year.
