CONCERT SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 17—Our

GBC Sanctuary Choir along with special guest

musician and song-writer, Derric Johnson, will

present a delightful concert entitled "Soul for

the Soul" next Sunday at 5:00 PM. Don't miss it!

A NEW SUNDAY BIBLE CLASS began last Sunday.

Rev. Arne Abrahamsen is teaching on Portraits of

Christ from Psalms 22, 23, and 24 at 8:30 AM in the

Fireside Room.

OUR NEXT MEMBERSHIP CLASS will be on Saturday,

March 9, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, including a light lunch.

A THANK GOD FOR ISRAEL NIGHT will be held on

Tuesday, February 19, at Congregation Beth Emeth,

13702 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West. It will begin

at 7:00 PM. GBC member, Dr. Charles Dyer, will be

one of the featured speakers. Let us join with God's

chosen people when the world is turning against

them and show our love, support, and solidarity.

The purpose of our Missions Conference

will be to honor our Soldiers of the Cross

and encourage them to Press On!

John and Sharon Gowan have served with HCJB

Global (media and healthcare ministries) since 1985.

Currently residing in Guatemala, John works in

TV broadcasting and video production. Sharon

volunteers as a faculty consultant and crisis

intervention advisor in a Christian school located

in a very oppressed area of the city. John also works

in a Wycliffe ministry which presents a charming

series of well-known Bible stories, created for those

who have likely never heard the Word of God.

Meet the Gowans Friday, March 1, at 10:00 AM as they

share their fascinating work.

John and Julie Gerig serve with World Partners (WP)

in Russia. WP is an extension of the Missionary

Church. The Gerigs are deeply involved in reaching

young people. John teaches Youth Ministry and

Christian courses at St. Petersburg Christian

University. He also mentors in Youth for Christ/

Russia, and works with a youth group in their local

church. Julie's ministry revolves around International

Academy, a Christian school for emigrant children.

She teaches music and choir.
