Your very own newsletter editor received the ‘Runner-Up’ award for the local chapter newsletter competition. The We-Wan-To-Go’s next campout will be at the Marion County Park Campground in Knoxville on August 28 to 30. Your wagonmasters for the weekend will be Bill and Karen Pearce, Butch and Val Peters, Dick and Sue Rasmussen, and Craig and Sandy Winn. The 115-acre Marion County Park is comprised of gently rolling hills located just west of Knoxville. A modern camp-ground, several picnic shelters, and a seven-acre fishing lake are a few of the features of this family retreat. The Marion County Historical Society maintains and

operates a historical village at the park for an insight to the past heritage of Marion County. A covered bridge, relocated to the park from rural Marion County, provides a picturesque backdrop to the fishing lake and is a popular spot for family and school photo-graphs. Marion County Park is a coveted destination for local

residents and travelers alike. Sites 39 to 70 have full hookups (50-amp electric, water, and sewer) and are $20.00 per night. Arriving from the north, drive south into Knoxville on Iowa Highway 14. Turn right (west) on West Pleasant Street and in ¼ mile, turn left (south) on Willets Drive (Graceland Cemetery), and ¼ mile to the park entrance. Arriving from the west, come on Iowa Highway 92/5 and take the McKimber Street exit (east) and in ½ mile turn right (south) on Willets Drive (Graceland Cemetery) and ¼ mile to the park entrance. On Thursday evening, there is an early bird potluck. On Friday evening, the hosts will provide supper with the business meeting afterwards. On Saturday, the hosts will provide breakfast. There are many options of fun things to do during the day to include the sprint car museum, the town of Pella, etc.. Your hosts will provide you with a list upon your arrival. At some point during the

Lichtsinn RV also received the Circle of Excellence customer service award from Winnebago Industries – their 22nd consecutive year receiving the award. Other Winnebago awards received by Lichtsinn include: #1 Dealer in North America for the Class B Winnebago Touring Coach division. #1 Dealer in North America for Class C motor home registrations. #2 Dealer for Class A Gas motor home registrations. #2 Dealer for Class A Diesel motor home registrations. As the closest dealer to Winne-bago Industries, being just one mile north of the factory, Lichtsinn RV has a close partnership with Winnebago. “Winnebago Industries provides the highest quality, leading-edge developments for RVs across the industry,” said Lichtsinn. “We are fortunate to have valued vendor partnerships like this that support our guests and our team.” In 2014, Lichtsinn RV opened a state-of-the-art facility on the corner of Highway 9 & 69 in Forest City. The new RV facility includes numerous service bays; a 7,000 square-foot parts and camping accessories store; spacious service check-in areas; a state of the art photo and video area; an indoor delivery area for guests; as well as a technology-focused guest lounge. “Our new facility presents our RV guests with a more cohesive, best-of-class experience,” said Lichtsinn. “The feedback from our guests has been phenomenal so far.” Lichtsinn RV welcomes guests from throughout North America to their dealership in Forest City.

Lakeland, FL - Born Free Motorhomes of Humboldt, IA announced yesterday that RV World, with locations in Lakeland and Nokomis, FL, is the newest dealer to carry the Born Free product line.

In the announcement, the company noted, “We’d also like to thank Lazydays for representing Born Free over the last three years. It has been a pleasure and we appreciate the addition of each new owner who purchased at Lazydays to our Born Free family.” In regard to the relationship with Lazydays, Brandon Dodgen, product manager at Born Free, confirmed the change by stating, “Yes, it’s over.” The announcement claims that RV World is Florida’s largest Class C RV dealer and specializes in high quality RVs and top-notch customer service. downs in recent years. We feel the company has a renewed focus on product development and a strong competitive desire to be back out front again in all market categories in which they participate,” said Donald Strollo, president of RV One.

“Additionally Winnebago has made it clear that they are out to gain market share through strategic partnerships such as this one. Upgrading the dealer base for Winnebago is a smart move and shows intelligence at the top.” RV One will begin to debut new 2016 Winnebago products at the largest motorhome show in New York State later this month at the Turning Stone Casino Resort in Verona, NY from July 31 to August 2. “We can report that the first half of 2015 has proven to be an exceptional growth period for not only the industry, but our company as well,” said Strollo. “For the first six months of 2015, RV One Superstores generated $154,305,269.28 in revenue up 39 percent from the same period in 2014. Revenue for 2015 is expected to surpass $315 million. “Anyone in our industry right now should be excited for the opportunity we all have to widen our consumer base,” he added. “Along with that comes significant potential for revenue growth and, if planned properly, that can be done wisely with

mitigated risk. “During the recession between years from 2008 to 2010, our company saw revenue growth, not reduction,” Strollo explained. “This was in part due to proper planning and new relationships formed during that time. We are very happy that Winnebago will be a partner in our strategic growth plans for many years to come.” RV One Superstores is currently undergoing a construction review for a new 40,000-square-foot facility in Tampa, FL to match the mega location opened this past fall in Albany, NY. The company plans a sixth location in the very near future. www.rvone.com
