A MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR Dear Holy Apostles Parish Family:

    The Mission is on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is our mantra as we enter this new fiscal and

school year. Many parishes are cutting back and

shutting many things down. We are trying to reinvent

    some things and move forward.

On Pages 6 and 7 in this bulletin is our annual

financial report. The first thing I want to point out is

that we hit our budget for weekly collections, so that

was a $100,000 increase this year. Thank you all

for your support! We also paid off our debt, went over

our goal for Diocesan Stewardship and collected

$77,000 for Covid relief to feed around 1,000

    families per month.

The bottom line says we were $29,000 short, but

this does not include the PPP money we received of

$133,000. We have been able to use that money to

have a stronger checkbook balance to pay our bills

more timely with much better cash flow.

I am proud to say that we are one of only four parish-

es in this diocese that was in the black for collections

    during Covid time.

My only request is that we keep our weekly contribu-

tions up so we can continue all this and push our

mission forward. Thank you for all you did this year

and please continue to do so this coming year!

Have a Blessed Week! Father Paul

Registering for Mass To attend a public mass, you must register as

attendance is limited at this time and so that we

have the ability to contact trace, if needed.

There are three ways to register to attend a public

    mass:

Go to our website tcoha.org and click on Mass

Registration (large tab on the home page) and

then select your desired mass. You will receive a

confirmation that you are registered for a mass.

Download the Church Center app. Set up a log-in

and then register every member of your family.

Then click on Events and select your desired

mass. You will receive a confirmation of your

    registration.

If you don’t have access to the internet, call the

    Parish Office at 815-385-5673.

You are now able to register up to an hour before

the mass you want to attend. Please visit our Face-

book page for videos to further help you register and

for detailed safety procedures for mass attendance.

If you have registered and are unable to attend,

please inform Jennifer Marsh at [email protected]

so another person may take your spot.

    Prayer for Peace from Anxiety

During the Coronavirus Pandemic Loving God, we come to you full of anxiety about

what may happen in the coming days and weeks.

Shower us with the peace Jesus promised to his disci-

ples, and make us into steady pillars for those around

us. In this time of uncertainty and epidemic, wake us

up to the reminder that we are not alone.

Even as we are asked to keep our distance from

others, help us to find ways to reach out to those who

need our support. We pray especially for those whose

incomes and livelihoods are threatened. For the chil-

dren, parents and teachers who are facing a very un-

certain school year. For those already isolated, lonely

and scared. Loving God, give them your peace, and

through our hands ensure they have what they need.

Sustain, strengthen and protect all caregivers. Bless

them as they offer compassionate care and show self-

less courage in the face of risk.

Remind us, each time we wash our hands, that in

our baptism you call us to let go of our fears and live

in joy, peace, and hope. Amen.

Pray after Communion when watching a livestream Mass.

Spiritual Communion Prayer My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most

Blessed Sacrament. I love you above all things and I

desire to receive you in my soul. Since I cannot at this mo-

ment receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually

into my heart. I embrace you as if you were already

there and unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me

to be separated from you. Amen.

Many Are Struggling: You Can Help Would you like to make a difference in our community

during this difficult time but aren't sure where to give?

Every penny of your donations to

the St. Vincent de Paul Society

    through GiveCentral or your parish

Poor Box assists area families in

need. Your gifts of treasure to

SVdPS are used to purchase food

at a significant discount, which is then given to our

needy neighbors. Some funds might be sent directly to a

utility company to avoid shut-off of services while other

funds may pay for gas or a needed car repair to allow

one of our neighbors to get to work. Your donations allow

our neighbors to feed their families, to live in dignity and

to continue to be productive members of our community.

Won't you consider a donation today? "Whoever has a

bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread

    with the poor." Prv 22:9

Food Distribution for Those in Need Boxes of food are distributed every Wednesday from 5

to 6 PM at Holy Apostles outside Sherry Center. Food is

distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until all the

food is distributed. It is a drive-up event to offer safe dis-

tancing and is pre-packed in boxes and placed in cars.

Anyone in need of food is welcome. If someone you know

is struggling to get food on the table, please invite them

    to come and receive food.

Options for Your Child’s Faith Formation Holy Apostles understands the importance of growing in

faith while staying safe at the same time. This year, an

online option for your child will be available for those inter-

    ested in doing so.

Children are more likely to put into practice the faith they

see lived out day‐to‐day at home. We offer a variety of faith-based programs for kids in K through 12th Grade

    beginning in September.

Our Family Faith Formation program are on Sundays start-

ing at 8:30 AM followed by Mass at 10 AM and on Tuesdays

starting at 5 PM. The sessions are family-oriented; parents

are to attend with their children. The session begins with a

family project/activity, followed by a discussion topic for par-

ents while their children receive lessons in a classroom.

Childcare is available for children in preschool or younger.

There will also be online classes on Wednesdays at 5 PM.

Classes are September through May 2, 2021. Register at

tcoha.org, click on the Mass Registration tab and choose

Family Faith Formation. Questions? Contact Arge at 815-

    388-0155 or [email protected].

Noah’s Ark Offers Blended Program Noah's Ark Preschool will be offering a blended

in-person/distance learning program for the 2020-21

school year. A modified curriculum will be provided for

at-home learning with 2 days of in-person class held

per month to allow children an opportunity for play and

socialization. In-person classes will be 90 minutes in

length and limited to 6 children per class. The

distance learning will include virtual classes via Zoom

and the curriculum will help keep children engaged

while at home. For information visit noahsarkpreschool

so de "perritos".
