!we reveal space and form in the language of light
We believe that with Light, life commenced. Light is the integral part of every space we use. It is the 4th dimension in architecture and space.
At LDA we work with light. We understand its properties and effects, how and why it works. As Professional Lighting Designers we combine the art and science of light to create innovative solutions that bring out the true essence of the space and form.
Whilst architects, interior designers, landscape designers and electrical consultants, do have a working knowledge about lighting, professional designers at LDA have dedicated their careers, exclusively to the art and science of lighting. We believe in adding value to their design using light.
In the beginning God made l ight . . .
Luma Design Arts (LDA) is an independent consultancy company providing lighting design services.
We do not sell, install or maintain lighting equipment. Nor are we commercially aligned with any manufacturer or vendor.
Established in late 2003, creativity and a quest for excellence form the two pillars on which our practice is built on. We are passionate about delivering designs with international standards at a local reach. Our team is a healthy mix of young creative minds and seasoned experts in the field.
We believe that transformation of a society begins with self- transformation. Our management and staff are committed to ethical business practices and are members of “Unashamedly Ethical”
Luma Design Arts
We provide lighting design services in the following disciplines:
Architectural Lighting | Effects Lighting | Entertainment Lighting | Stage Lighting | Lighting Control Systems
At LDA, we study the impact of natural light on the project and address safety issues suchas glare, color confusion etc.
We attempt to enhance the user experience, by considering the aesthetics of the lighting equipment used. The selection of such equipment is in sympathy to the interior finishes applied and after assessment of what kind of emotions the lighting should evoke.
Having worked closely with project and maintenance engineers, we empathize the need for periodical maintenance and this is reflected in our equipment selection, which results in minimal and easy maintenance.
Finally, we work with the project managers and clients to ensure cost-effectiveness in the system.
Serv ices
Formula 1 to Fashion bars, taxiing aprons to temples, we’ve been involved in very challenging projects over the past years.
