The RH 2000 is the high end machine from the company HESS. Many years of experience in machi-ne construction combined with latest progress in technology make this machine the front-runner of the concrete product machines. High performance hydraulic system of the M-Version
Block making machines of the M-series are equipped with a CNC-control unit. All movements of the axes of tamper head, mold and filler box are monitored and precisely controlled to 1/10 of a mm. All axes communicate with each other to enable overlapping travel movements for optimum cycle times. A tamper head brake is not requiered as the hydraulic cylinders can be held in exact position by the control. The integrated CNC control guarantees highly precise movements with optimum cycle times. Furthermore these harmonic motions ensure an extreme low-wearing operation of the machine.

The RH 1500 is a powerful machine for high production volume. In spite of the short cycle times the machine stands out for smooth mechanical movements due to the hydraulic system and a special electrical control. Our patented VarioTronic system consists of a simple mechanical structure and a fully electronic control which is reliable and extremely accurate. Frequency and amplitude can be adjusted indivi-dually and produce maximum results during mold filling and main compaction. Using asynchronous servo motors, vibration angles adjust extrem-ly fast. This causes a short vibration time and a high product quality. The HESS oil-bath vibration features vibrating shafts which are individually
mounted in closed casing which are filled with oil. The system provides significant advantages:
• permanent lubrication of bearings• running dry inside the casing is impossible• increased lifetimeThe RH 500 has a heavy duty, compact structure with advanced electronic, pneumatic and mecha-
nical modules. It can produce slabs, pavers, hollow blocks and similar concrete products in modera-te production output. With a production height of 25 up to 300 millimeters it offers a wide range of products. The mechanical height stop allows a production to a specific and accurate height.

The HESS Group has developed a new, adaptable system for the face concrete filler box - the planing roller (pat. pen-ding). It is a steel roller replacing the front stripper frame of the filler box. The roller is driven by a frequency controlled mo-tor via a chain and independent from the movement of the filler box. There are se-veral advantages when producing paving stones with the driven planing roller: The roller prevents that concrete is „dug“ out of the mold when the filler box re-turns to home position. This effect beco-mes especially apparent when more wet concrete is used or large-sized pavers are manufactured. Therefore the planing roller enables the production with particularly wet concrete mixes which on the other hand improves the color in-tensity, provides a more compacted surface and produces a better compound between course and face concrete. As the product surface absorbs less water, a possible spalling of the face concrete layer during frost is also obviated. Molds for large-sized paving stones can be charged evenly wi-thout repeated forth and back movements of the filler box. This means more efficient cycle times and high-quality end products. The filler box planing roller is available for the RH 2000 and RH 1500.

To make the production process of concrete products economi-cal, efficient transfer and handling systems are necessary along-side mixing and production machinery. To transfer, buffer and store fresh and cured product, HESS offers a wide program of proven solutions.
Especially with respect to paver production, cycle times under 10 seconds are no longer a rare occurrence. Therefore, the logistics and the product flow between the wet and dry sides are deciding factors in the quality and efficiency of the concrete production.

Surface treatment of concrete products can be succeeded in two different manners: Wet side treatment between machine and elevator or dry side treatment is mostly realized before cubing with bypass solution. An optimized integrated surface treatment line for cured products helps to reduce the amount of operation processes and hereby minimize additional costs.
Patented solutions provide producers the op-portunity to gain a competitive advantage and expand their product range with moderate in-vestment expenses.

SM series compulsory mixer
Separate drives for perfect mixing results in short mixing intervals
Mixers of the SM series provide the perfect solution for making concrete types used in the produc-tion of paving stones, slabs, kerbstones, hollow blocks as well as pipes and manholes or for precast concrete elements and ready-mix concrete. Thanks to their high mixing intensity, planetary mixers are particularly suitable for the production of concrete types with low water/cement ratios to achie-ve earth-moist concrete and self-compacting concrete types.
Many companies all over the world use HESS Group mixers with great success. Their outstanding characteristics are: a very long service life, a high degree of reliability, excellent mixing performance and minimum maintenance.
SM series mixers just give better mixing results
According to ISO 18650 definitions, mixing results with a variation coefficient of under 7.5% are considered adequate. The faster a low coefficient is achieved, the better the mixer. The SM mixer actually achieves a variation coefficient of less than 1%! And at very short mixing intervals!

The manufacturing of molds for HESS as well as for foreign machines takes place at our subsidiary HMB. HMB produces molds for all common types of block machines and has many years of expe-rience in the production of highly durable molds. This guarantees HESS customers the production of precise and perfect concrete products.
Schlosser-Pfeiffer supplies complete and fully compatible molds and molding equipment for the SP VARIANT, SP RADIALPRESS and SP TRIVIANT pipe making machines.
